Improperly adjusted monitors can lead to neck strain, eye strain and headaches.

IT Industry

Improperly adjusted monitors can lead to neck strain, eye strain and headaches.

To prevent eye strain follow 20/20/20 rule.

What is 20/20/20 rule?

Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. It's an easy reminder to take break and prevent eye strain.

Judging a distance of 20 feet inside can be difficult, but focusing on a tree across the street should work well.

Alternately, a person can benefit from closing their eyes for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

Symptoms of Eye strain:

Eye watering, blurred vision, dry eyes, headaches, eye redness

Tips to avoid strains and headaches.

1. Adjust monitor properly and increase room's overall lighting.

2. A person blinks less than usual when using digital screens resulting in dry out eyes. Use drops or artificial tears.

3. Get regular eye checkups.
