Eclectic Stored Power
In early 2023, UP moved three tracks worth of locomotives into storage at Congress Yard near Downtown Houston. While mostly composed of SD70Ms, there are a couple oddballs too. Like this particular track, which has all sorts of goodies in it.
GP15-1 UPY 660 was built as MP 1660. Slug UPY 936 was built as SP 7554, a U25B, and rebuilt in 1982 into TEBU yard slug SP 1611. UP since modified and reclassified it as an S4B, and it was officially retired in February of 2023.
Further down the track finds some SD70 varieties, SD60 varieties, a Geep, and even a Dash 9.
