La plénitude de l'instant : Vivre en pleine conscience de Thich Nhat Hanh

BEWICK'S SWAN

(Cygnus columbianus bewickii)

The Bewick’s Swan, also known as the Tundra Swan, was named by William Yarrell after Thomas Bewick who was an engraver of birds and animals.

The Bewick’s Swan is similar to the Whooper Swan except it is smaller, has a shorter neck with a more rounded head and always has more Black than Yellow on its bill. The Whooper Swan has more Yellow than Black on its bill.

Waiting patiently

This lively little snuggle kitten is named Michael Meyers. He will climb all over a friendly human, and he also likes to cuddle and play with his brother Jason Voor Hees. Apparently if you name a kitten after a fictional serial killer, it doesn't make people warm up - this sweetie would be happy to answer to any name you choose. He and his brother are almost 5 months old and found their new home together 10 November 2019.

Leaving the Lake District mid afternoon allowed the wonderful weather tempt me out for 3Q99 Doncaster Wood Yard to Doncaster Wood Yard through Goxhill with 69005 on the rear.

Remember the beautiful green fresh Monarch pupa I posted 10 days ago? I thought last night when I looked at it, this might be the day. Early this morning. Seen here, the pupa or chrysalis skin has dried and become transparent, with the colors of the Monarch beginning to show through, just a hint of the wing colors at the sides.
