1955-'56

When I was 15 years old, my oldest sister took me on a trip from Georgia to Arizona. Then, in 1956, we went back to Arizona and on to Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, and Colorado. Highlights of the first trip, for me, were Canyon de Chelly and the Grand Canyon. In '56 the special places included the Grand Canyon and Yosemite.
We both had Leica M3 double-stroke cameras. She had a 50mm f/2 collapsible Summicron and 90mm f/4 Elmar, while I had the same 50mm lens and a 35mm f/2 Summicron. We both used Weston Master II light meters and shot Kodak Kodachrome 25 transparency film.
For a long time, I thought my slides were lost. (I've never had my sister's.) Then, I found them, grungy and some with mold. I've used a Nikon LS-40 scanner. With digital ICE and some cloning of remaining dust marks and such, and with Luminar Neo, the resulting scans and edits might actually look better than ever, pretty good for photos that are nearly seventy years old.
