I’ve been on FlickrPro for many years. I never really lugged around heavy, expensive gear. In fact much of what you see was shot with various Panasonic superzooms.
I really should go through and delete many photos. The last several years I’ve only used my iPhone.
With my increasing lack of mobility and bad knees, I can no longer get out and about to shoot, can’t bend and so I’m pretty much confined to my Santa Studio and yard.
For many years I taught 3rd grade with heart and love for my students. I prefer to think I taught with distinction, writing much of my own curriculum and hopefully, will maybe be remembered by folks.
After teaching, I stumbled into portraying Santa. I never appeared anywhere that charged children to visit Santa. With few exceptions of my choosing, I usually appeared at venues with large crowds so I could reach more people with Santa’s Way.
I’ve appeared at famous and obscure venues and enjoyed all my experiences.
After bringing joy to thousands every year and spending too many Christmases laid up sick and too often missing my own family celebrations, with failing health, I recently retired from my Santa life.
While recuperating from heart surgery I wrote Santa’s Tales. It’s a large format compilation of true stories. It’s in full color with lots of color photos in its 140 pages. Available on Amazon you’ll need to search on the title and Jeff Lowe and I’ve kept it priced at a few pennies over Amazon’s price to me.
Bringing joy, kindness, personal attention and memories was the joy I received during the time I was privileged and humbled to portray Santa.

This is long over due on my part. Jeff is one of the most amazing guys I have ever not met yet. He's a great photographer and he has a great eye for form and composition. He's, smart, clever, funny, wise, and an inspiration to me. Some of the things he has achieved lately are almost beyond belief to me. I never really wanted to go to LA all that much until I got to know Jeff. His images over the years have caused me to add his home town to my list of places to see, but only if he will be my tour guide. : ) I thank the Lord that Jeff is still going to be around when I get there.
