"In the morning glow Santa Claus was detected, while stepping down into a chimney or is he trying to get out? Anyway, the good news is that he arrived safely in our world!!!"
Design origami "Santa Claus" and origami "Chimney-shaped penholder": Katsushi Nosho
Both diagrams in NOA #424.
"Santa Claus" is folded from 2 pieces 15x15cm and a small piece (for the face) kamipaper.
"Chimney-shaped penholder" is folded from 20x20cm and 30x30cm "stone"-paper.
Let me introduce this little man, the very important Magic-Santa Claus and his first-and-only Assistent. They work in a top secret place and have a very important task to perform.
Do you know how all those big presents fit into the tiny sacks, that all Santa's carry? Well, this little Magic-Santa Claus has great magical powers and transforms everything into very tiny and very light objects, so the Santa's don't have to carry too much weight either.
Once touched by a human the presents immediately change back into their normal proportions. This process is so quickly, not noticeable for the human eye.
I was able to visit them, but I don't remember how ............. Suddenly I was there and then the next moment back in my house again.
All that's left is this one and only photo of them... I think Magic-Santa Claus put a spell on me too ;-)
Design origami "Santa Claus": Jacky Shan
Folded from 2 pieces kami paper
There is a tutorial, if you want to fold it too. Happy folding ;-)
Traditional origami "Kusudama" aka "his first-and-only Assistent"
Stopped quickly for bread for tomorrow and there he was. The big man standing near the checkout. So cheery and bright!
Santa is coming to town.
Merry Christmas to you all.

Christmas Market at Trèves
Today we plan to go to Alsace to visit a Christmas Market ... but we start too late in the morning ... so we have gone to Trier/Trèves in Germany. A very nice place.
and I took a very interesting one !!!!
This is my first attempt at something called a “flatlay”! I’ve been wanting to try it for some time now, and decided today is the day....no Santa’s were harmed in the filming of this project, although some appear arthritic and old. That’s because they are! I love my vintage Santas, and think I’ve put them to good use.
Dashing through the universe and hop skipping the moon....Santa Clause is coming to your house to bring Christmas cheer, Love and a shared happiness of Joy !
To one and all....Have A Merry Christmas 2024 !
I like Christmas and I like Christmas MOCs even more! I have always wanted to build a big Santa Claus. Every year, a few weeks before Christmas, I am thinking of building one. However, big MOCs take more time to design so I am usually too late. Not this year though! No, this year I started designing Santa in August when the temperature outside was tropical. Listening to Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’ helped me to get into the Christmas spirit.
I had a lot of fun designing Santa and his throne chair. The build contains about 3500 parts and is almost 40cm in height.
Merry Christmas Flickr members.

Introducing the Brightin Star 35mm f/0.95 “Night God” manual lens. Provia with level adjustment; room lights and corrected white balance; handheld; about f/1.4 One nice thing about a manual lens is WYSIWYG depth of field and exposure preview without changing a menu setting.
I love Christmas, so to keep the magic real for Mackenzie I decided to pick up a suit. The things I dont do sometimes.
