I'm a marxist leninist trotskyist stranded in Austin, TX until I get off my lazy butt to earn some cash for my get away. My political thinking is based on socialist theory and I try to stay aware of and involved in political activism. While here I try to be as revolutionary as I can be. But here's the first bit of irony and crisis: in and attempt to avoid hunger and homelessness I joind the Texas Army National Guard as a combat medic. And the timing was great( 2 months before the 9-11 terrorist incident ). Fortunately my unit didn't get called up. So I didn't have to devise some elaborate scheme to avoid participating in the murderous slaughter in Iraq. So crisis #1 is mostly old news. Crisis #2 is my love life of lack of one. In addition to being on the extreme far left I'm also polyamorous which means I believe in having multiple relationships. Since most people claim to put monogamy on the high ground of morality I'm not too popular. But I have to be true to myself. Crisis #3 is my total alienation from corporate healthcare. So much so that I'd like to find another occupation. But I've decided to hang in there a little longer and I'm currently taking an emergency medical training course. I'm also thinking of becoming a teacher. Crisis #4 is that I'm only one of a few atheist in Austin. I'm originally from New Orleans, LA but left in 1982 when I joined the military. Travel is one of my favorite activites. I've visited Korea, Germany, France, and Britain while I was in the army. And just a few years ago I went to Mexico and Cuba. I'd like to meet anyone that can correctly interpret what I write. Or at least fool me into thinking they do. Someone that lives near Bouldin Creek Coffee House in south Austin would be nice.
