This picture is a render I did some 5 years ago using Poser software. I think that I managed not only to capture a good likeness of her face but also her figure. I used 3 point lighting. The shadows accentuate the curves of her figure. : )
March 14th ... embrace the circle and Pi :)
Had some fun with some light, straws and various depth's of field. Could also be some red blood cells under the microscope.
Pi ... that ratio that claims to never have an end to the all the decimal points. Driving mathematicians crazy for hundreds of years, yet nature uses that ratio all the time with no care or problems.
The problem is simple to solve. We of course have been trying to solve it with using numerical systems based decimal, binary ... etc.
They just need to use a number system based on Pi itself. Pi'nary number system. Then it is simple, and calculates out to no pinary 'decimals'.
If someone then asks ... well then how many fingers do you have in the Pinary System ... and you tell the 2 Pi of course ... your hands can easily hold two pies :)

Here is my monthly non long exposure shot. While many of us would like to have seen more sea fog at the Golden Gate in recent months, there have been a few key events to marvel at. It's a very simple phenomenon, to be sure, but makes for interesting photography, nonetheless.
The thing with this moment (and do mean moment) was the way the hill just seemed to grow a fuzzy wool sweater of fog.

Ein Rundgang über das Gelände des früheren Carlswerks an der Schanzenstraße in Köln-Mülheim. In der Vergangenheit wurden hier Drähte, Kabel und elektronische Komponenten für die verschiedensten Aufgaben hergestellt. Ein Teil dieser Werke hat in Form der "Drahtwerke Köln" bis heute überlebt. Der überwiegende Teil des Areals ist heute Heimat für Medien- und Kunstschaffende sowie bekannte Veranstaltungsorte wie "E-Werk" und "Palladium".

A walk across the historic 'Carlswerk', a former production site for heavy duty wires and cables as well as highly developped electronic components. Up to now part of it survived in form of the "Drahtwerke Köln". Yet the largest part of the area today gives a home to artists, entertainers and media companies. Also some well known venues like the 'E-Werk' and 'Palladium' can be found here.
