Only had time for this small piece on Christmas eve.
Created with light blue fine sharpie marker.
I found this Zendala Dare especially challenging. I didn't like this one, so I created another one, only to decide I liked this one afterall.
Tangles: Pokeleaf, Flux, Stoic (Twile), Bales and Voga.
Colored Micron 01, shaded with Prismacolor colored pencils.
messing around in photoshop with effects and filters -I love the glowing edge filter on anything and everthing -
Snapped a picture before tossing these. Print outs of the Zendala Dare #9 template from the Bright Owl, and a piece of scratch paper. The two with blue ink were me playing with possible tangles while on lunch break at work.
The one in black ink was later, once I'd decided on several of the tangles but was still pretty mystified by the inner ring of the template.
This Dare was to 'play with paper'. I chose a multicolored piece of origami paper that I had. It was very glossy and was hard to trace the pattern onto it. So I cut out the pattern out and outlined it and then freehanded the other lines. But when I was all done, there was no way to shade this pattern, so it has to stand on it's own! It was fun to try the different paper, but don't think I'd do it again - at least not this particular kind of paper.
