Cultural heritage of the Netherlands.

There was a small band of clouds blocking the sun for some hours. I waited till the sun finally came beneath it and took my shots. Two minutes later there was lightning and hail all over the place. So intense that taking more pictures was out of the question, running for shelter was the reasonable thing to do.

I was still soaked of course but also pleased with the results of that little moment of good light.

Zaanse Schans es un barrio del municipio de Zaandam en el norte de los Paises Bajos.

Este barrio es un museo al aire libre del pasado preindustrial neerlandes. Pasear por ėl es toda una delicia para los sentidos.

I finish the year with this photograph in the hope of returning with the camera and good company.

I wanna thank everyone for the lovely comments and faves on my photo's last year which i really appreciate. Wishing everyone all the best for 2022 💙

Cà d'Zan - the bay front facade of the living room and marble terrace

Cà d'Zan, a Mediterranean Revival residence in Sarasota, Florida, was the winter home of the American circus owner, developer and art collector John Ringling and his wife Mable. The name of the residence is Venetian for House of John. Architectural details of the house reflect influences ranging from the Venetian Doge's Palace[5] to the tower of the first Madison Square Garden in Manhattan. Items collected by the couple during their international travels were featured in the residence.

I went for a sunset to the Zaanse Schans area. Normally you don't go these houses. But in the corner of my eye I saw how beautiful the evening light and the clouds were. So I went there and discovered how nice the water reflected the houses and the sky. Zaan area, 2020.

Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!

Na regen en harde wind deed de zon zijn uiterste best om er nog door te komen wat resulteerde in een prachtige lucht.
