横浜 天理ビル

I went to Yokohama to attend some meeting yesterday. I spent the whole afternoon without break. After that, I got on a train to take some photos because I didn't have a chance to do that so often in Yokohama.

It was 20 min or so after I started to shoot, the battery was run out. I switched another one. It said instantly that it was run out too and ordered me to change it. I was blown out. orz....

It was a blessed relief that I could take some shots including this one. Also, I remembered that my point and shoot camera, Ricoh R7, was in a side pocket of my bag. ;-)

My day trip to Yokohama ended with this last view of Yokohama Bay Bridge. I was thinking to take transit to go near that bridge for a long exposure photo. Unfortunately, the time was too tight that I couldn't make it if I wanted to go back to Tokyo.

I guess I will have to come back next time for it. Tokyo is definitely not a one-time travel as there are so many great places to explore and to go around.

When I was in Yokohama Chinatown, it was extremely busy as many restaurants were still opened at that point. I saw many people started to wear masks but at that time, things were that serious.

My friend came after I left Japan (approximately 2 weeks after). He said the opposite thing as everything was closed and nobody was walking in Chinatown. To me, Yokohama Chinatown feels like the Chinatown in Victoria but a lot bigger and busier :)

HBM!!

I really love Yokohama city landscape at night, the colours are pretty amazing. I wasn't lucky during my travel because it was a very cold night and ends raining so pics are a bit blurred, but it was a nice experience, totally recomended if your are traveling Japan

The Yokohama Bay Bridge is a large bridge in Yokohama city, Kanagawa prefecture. The name "Yokohama Bay Bridge" was given to the bridge, refering to the San Francisco Bay Bridge. It is a kind of expressway.

The construction of the Yokohama Bay Bridge started in 1980 and was completed in 1989. With the length of 860m, the Yokohama Bay Bridge is an imporatnt transport route to deal with traffic jams in the urban areas.

The Yokohama Bay Bridge has a pedestrian mall called "Skywalk", which extends to the observation deck.

I was looking at the photos I have posted lately and noticed it was all birds so I am going to change it up a bit. Mrs. Nature won a trip to Oahu last year and we went in October. One of my favorite subjects while in the Islands is the waves and those who ride those waves. The waves are like snowflakes, no two are ever the same and they are here and gone in an instant. Here a boogie boarder is getting ready to get body slammed on this shore break on the NW tip of Oahu I believe they call it Yokohama Bay and Keawa'ula beach.
