What do you do on a cloudy Sunday? You go to the city with a friend to photograph architectural buildings.

Here we were lucky - this staircase was actually blocked, but a very friendly employee locked us up and so we could only take photographs for a short time, but mother souls' little things ... it is just great how many different stairs, shapes and colors are available - real works of art...

Was macht man an einem trüben Sonntag?

my favorite color is yellow, i love this song too,

listen: Yellow

Look at the stars

Look how they shine for you

And everything you do

Yeah, they were all yellow

I came along

I wrote a song for you

And all the things you do

And it was called Yellow

So then I took my turn

Oh, what a thing to have done

And it was all yellow

Your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones

Turn into something beautiful

And you know, you know I love you so

You know I love you so

I swam across

I jumped across for you

Oh, what a thing to do

'Cause you were all yellow

I drew a line

I drew a line for you

Oh, what a thing to do

And it was all yellow

And your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones

Turn into something beautiful

And you know, for you, I'd bleed myself dry

For you, I'd bleed myself dry.....

Yellow Bittern, Ixobrychus sinensis, Puchong Kuning

This species breeds in much of the Indian Subcontinent, east to Japan through Malaysia and Indonesia. They can be difficult to see, given their skulking lifestyle and reed bed habitat, but tend to fly fairly frequently, when the striking contrast between the black flight feathers and the otherwise yellowish plumage makes them unmistakable. They hunt for fishes, crustacean and amphibian in reeds infested water bodies.

Taken at Tucklesholme Nature Reserve.

Thank you to everyone who views, favs or comments on my photos, it is always appreciated.

A week ago, this butterfly appeared in my kitchen. It must have come with the leafy vegetables as a caterpillar. One of the antennas is missing.

Macro Mondays theme Vibrant Minimalism

I had great fun with this theme. I love minimalism of all sorts and so this theme was right up my street.

These are yellow glass marbles on fluorescent magenta card and taken in direct daylight/sun through glass doors (although the sun kept dipping away producing a softer image of which this is an example). The marbles are just over 1cm in diameter and so this fits well within the groups requirements.

Still the odd one around.

Backyard birding St.Albert

During Victorian times, the yellow rose had a much different meaning than it does today. While it used to symbolize jealousy, now the symbol of a yellow rose represents friendship, joy, and caring. These beautiful sun-colored roses can also convey warmth, delight, gladness, and affection, as well as say good luck, welcome back, and remember me. The yellow rose is the perfect rose for a close friend or someone who needs a little cheering up since these blooms are sure to brighten anyone’s day! Yellow roses look brilliant with Sun Flowers.

A male Yellow-rumped Warbler (Setophaga coronata) feeding in a Japanese Maple tree.

Moderate risk with rough or very rough seas, possible coastal erosion and delays to maritime connections. Caution is advised, especially for recreational boating and beach activities, which may be prohibited. It is necessary to secure objects exposed to the wind, avoid piers and breakwaters, and pay attention to areas near the coast.

I have always loved these yellow rosellas, which are actually a variety of the crimson rosella. Very common in areas along the Murray River, this one was a regular visitor to a tree in front of our cabin in Mildura in Victoria.
