The story of a couch:
While I was out yesterday, I saw this couch. It had been upended and was resting near a dumpster. I thought "Hm. I think I'd like to take a photo of this couch, but I don't want to take a photo of this couch in its present location." So I moved the couch. It was heavy. I didn't move it as far as I'd originally planned to, due to aforementioned heaviness, and also perhaps due to the stares of passersby who probably couldn't help but wonder what I was doing behind this mission/thrift store, scooting furniture across the pavement, but what can I say? I like things the way I like them.
That word probably dates me, but I'm so excited to have received my first canvas! It's a 20x24 and is sitting over our mantle...I'm like a kid who got the bike they always wanted!
I had the craziest night last night. I started out from my place at about 5:30pm to bike about eight miles to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and no sooner had I texted a friend saying I'd be there in ten minutes when both my tires spontaneously blew out about four miles from the Aragon where they were playing. So, I locked it up and instead of taking the bus or hailing a cab, ran four miles with about 50pounds of camera equipment. Then, after the show, I meet up with Cinchel in the pouring rain while he's changing the tires and tubes. We're heading back to the bottle to see Norway's I Was a King when I get my third flat of the night, making us walk nearly a mile in a huge storm.
But the music was good so it's ok. I'm transferring all of my photos from last night to my hard drive now. yay!
Oh and my laptop isn't working so I've been borrowing CInchel's which is why I haven't been as active this week. I'll catch up soon.
