Everyone at the same place and at the same time !
A situation who happening more than often on the railroad as yard lead could only take one movement at the time.
Here, L592 is cooling its wheels on the back lead right behind YRP061 job who's waiting its turn toward the Longue Pointe spur after YRP030 arrival from Montréal-Est. The later, with GP9RM 4140 in charge, is passing the CTC signals at RDP Nord and will enter the front lead in the next few seconds with the day's production to be yarded in track RU04.
With its tail end still on the mainline at the other end of the yard, L592 will slowly take some headroom after "061" departure and eventually finishing to yard its train into three tracks.
Only after, RDP Nord will be silent for the next two hours or so.

My backyard~taken in July 2011.
These photos were taken 4 months after fire destroyed the patio. All was fixed and the plants were already growing back. It's a little different now and the plants are a lot fuller.
Rio Grande SD50 No. 5504 leads local freight No. 663, departing Provo, Utah for Roper Yard in South Salt Lake on Sept. 17, 1988.
A cloudy day look at New York Central's Weehawken Yards in mid-1959. The only thing moving appears to be a lone S-1 traveling through the interlocking at TU Tower. The passenger terminal dominates the scene in the center distance. The end of all passenger (commuter) service out of Weehawken was only months away at this point. It looks as if half the terminal trackage was already being used to store reefers. The other half of the termainal was more than enough for the few commuter trains that remained. A few export Alco diesels can be seen on the leads to the float bridge at far left.
Interestingly, the decrepit, long shop building at lower left outlasted almost every other structure in this image, surviving into the early 1980s. Today there is barely a trace of anything seen here. The main line through the tunnel under the Palisades (lower right) survived through Conrail, and today is double tracked once again, but in sole service of NJ Transit's Hudson-Bergen Light Rail line. New York Waterway ferries still cross the Hudson from here, and their terminal occupies roughly the same location as NYC's passenger and ferry terminal. The rest is now the Port Imperial residential development. If you have to ask what it costs to live here, you probably can't afford it!
This scan is from what appears to be an original "red border" Kodachrome that was underexposed and improperly stored. The slide was labeled with the date and location but not the photographer's name.
Various UP locomotives await the call to duty as employees mingle outside of the yard office at North Yard. The yard was built by predecessor Rio Grande, and was their major yard in the Denver area.

A second generation F-unit offering for this week. Seen at Mimico on 23 March 1991 amid rows of GO commuter consists and stored equipment is VIA F40PH-2 combo 6457 and 6425 with a power car and set of conventional coaches used in Corridor service.
I was sitting on my porch late the other afternoon when I noticed this sweet little American Redstart darting all over one of our apple trees hunting flying insects.
The light was fading fast and I had to bump the ISO so there's some noise, but I don't see them that often in my yard so I had to get a few shots.

A westbound Burlington Northern freight rumbles through Aurora, Illinois, and passes BN/Metra commuter trains laying over in Hill Yard on Saturday, April 16, 1988. The second unit on the freight is leased Kyle Railroad EMD GP40 No. 3116.
Time to relax is later. Now is the time for doing away with all (well, most) of the fallen limbs and branches that Winter hides.
btw: it's dark because it is pre-dawn. That's the only time there is no wind blowing, and safer for fire... :)
I captured this shot while walking through an old, historical building. Nobody seemed interested in the back yard, hence the lack of people. You can just see Erddig Hall in the background. I loved it. I feel the sepia added to mood.
A quiet scene at Kaiser Yard on Memorial Day 2016. In a few short hours, that GP60M at the left would be fired up to switch out cars in the yard. The yard here has long been a stronghold for ex-Santa Fe GP60 variants working out their last miles in local freight service.

Well the babies have moved in under this little fence lean-to that has yet to get re-assembled, they sit there during the day and it's 50 ft. from my computer.
A covered hopper rolls through the computer-controlled retarders at East Hump while being sorted for eastern destinations at Union Pacific’s Bailey Yard in North Platte, Nebraska, on May 3, 2011. Retarders slow the car rolling off the hump using a sophisticated system that considers car weight, distance the car must travel on a designated track, wind speed and direction and even air temperature.
CPKC's RC70-29 with CP SD40-2's 5107 and 5106 is tied down at Nahant Yard while CPKC train 260-28 arrives from the north with CP 8501 and CP 4412.
