I've been bust making stuff out of clay rather than LEGO for the last few months hence the lack of posts and activity. After a conversation with Will I was motivated to cobble something together.

The Queen is the same basic structure from ages ago. It's missing a few (arguably) important details but I think you can tell what it's supposed to be.
The whole thing stands freely and Bishop can be removed leaving the Queen balanced.

So this isn't exactly a pure Lego build but I just like the minimates facehugger so much that I wanted to make this. The reason this facehugger is the best, in my opinion, is that you can get a minifig head and their hair beneath it :)

Having a Xenomorph around is probably not the best idea. It'd be game over man! You'd have to nuke the entire site from orbit...it's the only way to be sure. The good news is, this is just a model and it won't try to use you as a host for it's babies. So you're safe. They only come out at night...mostly. If you step on a piece in space, nobody can hear you scream. This model features a ton of detail and articulation as well as some really fun techniques and part usage.

My first build in ages but one of my favorites to date. This was based on the genocide comics and the NECA figure. The build itself is similar to my black queen but it needed a number of changes due to parts not being available in red.
It's been a while I wanted to cosplay the Nostromo uniform from Alien movie. With Le Chateau Halloween Party coming in soon, it was the perfect moment to do it!
The time is the future. The crew aboard a massive commercial space vehicle is enroute to earth with a load of extraterrestrial ore when they are sidetracked by mysterious signals. The signals seem to be calls for help and when the space ship arrives they find a ruined, moldering motel and within it egg-like living organisms.

Based on the Tremors movie poster. So strange that the Graboids looked nothing like the monster portrayed. The title is a nod to the location in the movie and the type of organism that the xenomorph is referred to as.

Inspired by the new movie Alien: Covenant I built this small display to show my latest Kitbashes – and of course my first Neomorph-design. I loved the little white devils in this cornfield attack and would assess them even more scary than the oroginal Xenomorph because of their speed and nimbleness.

Aliens final battle revisited. I did this scene a while back in minifig scale.
Belville shoe used for alien queen head. The flipper idea was originally used by Legohaulic, so credit to him ;)
8 piece queen and 5 piece powerloader. I'm not entirely sure the arms on the queen are necessary but without them she looks a bit plain.

You can try to tell me that this doesn't look like one of the xenomorphs from the Alien films, but you and I both know you'd be telling filthy lies. I expect a tinier mouth to come shooting out, attached to a long piece of extreterrestrial tube steak, the mini-teeth snapping together.
This was taken at the Western Colorado Botanic Gardens. Nice gardens, but fairly small. This is from their "rainforest room," which is really just that--a small room that's very hot with some nice plants, some not-so-nice plants. It's better than their "butterfly house" which had like, three surly butterflies, each small (but buttery of wing, at least).
