This collage of WWII posters gives students an idea about the impact and changes in American culture. Women entering the workforce forever changed the face of the American economy. There were so many changes that took place during WWII and this poster gives studetns a good start to exploring the effects of WWII

There are a couple shots of this scene -- the later shots show many hundreds of people watching this speech.

 

Any idea what it might have been?

This WWII propaganda poster was made by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company to encourage their employees to continue to work to help with the war effort. The poster features very vibrant colors, making it attractive despite the clown. This object is in the collection at The Mariners' Museum (LN 06).
