Eleven years ago today I completed a lifetime dream of owning a book from the seventeen hundreds. I have always been fascinated by history, and more so the idea and thought of people who lived their day to day lives just like we do- so many, many years ago.
When I look at this book I wonder at all the people who have handled or read this book in the last 225 years- who they were, what inspired them, what they were passionate about… I think that is really what drives my Lifetime Dreams these days –connections and experiences.

Here are a couple of patterns that I recently made. I had so much fun drawing just simple doodles and playing around with them! I love patterns, can´t wait to make more!

Er komt een konijn bij de bakker. Hij vraagt: ‘Bakker, heeft u worteltjestaart?’ De bakker schudt zijn hoofd en het konijn gaat naar huis.
De volgende dag staat het konijn weer voor de toonbank van de bakker.
‘Bakker, heeft u worteltjestaart?’
Weer moet de bakker nee verkopen en met hangende oren gaat het konijn naar huis. Maar nu is het de bakker genoeg. Hij besluit worteltjestaart te bakken! Het is een heel werk, zeker omdat de bakker het voor het eerst doet. Maar het lukt !
En ja, hoor, de volgende dag is daar het konijn weer en vraagt: ‘Bakker, heeft u vandaag wel worteltjestaart?’
Hierop zegt de bakker trots en blij: ‘Jazeker! Ik heb worteltjestaart!’
Waarop het konijn zegt: ‘Vies hè?’

Em vez de dizer o porque essa data existe. Resolvi dizer o porque eu comemoro ela. Há exatamente 6 anos atrás eu decidi que queria a Fotografia em tudo na minha vida. Algo que eu amo fazer seria uma forma de sustento e de fazer a minha vida mais feliz. Na UFPB não existe um curso totalmente ligado a fotografia, então resolvi fazer um curso no qual me ligasse a mesma. Em uma entrevista com o fotógrafo Cesinha Ovale, ele mencionou que era formado em Radio e TV. Então esse foi só mais um motivo para que eu enfiasse a cara nos livros e começasse a estudar pois o curso eu já tinha escolhido. Então em 2008/2009 eu passei no meu primeiro vestibular para o curso que eu queria. E a quase 1 ano eu adquiri a minha primeira câmera com o suor do meu trabalho. E tenho dito, não tem nada melhor do que você mesma comprar seu equipamento fotográfico sem depender de mais alguém. E hoje, no 6º período na UFPB eu continuo dizendo: É essa a vida que eu quero para mim. Fotografia é a minha vida. ♥
