I interpreted the theme broadly. My father was in the Sammy Kaye Orchestra during the 1940's - then broke out and formed a band in the 50's. This is one of his first business cards and a couple of newspaper articles from his memorabilia. If you are old enough - you may recognize Carmen Miranda in the photo.

Goldboden is the first station of the hiking-route from Hohengehren to Engelberg.
The memorial was errected by forest officials for King Wilhelm I of Württemberg in June 24th, 1842. It commemorates the 25th anniversary of the reign of Wilhelm I of Württemberg in 1841.
It is located just a few meters away from the forest nursery.

I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!

Just working on a logo for season 3 that's a little more refined than the past two seasons.
As far as the competition itself is concerned, I'm not sure WHEN it's gonna happen, but it's GONNA happen.
I think for season 3 there will be a twist. Only 7 girls will be chosen to compete. The other 7 will have to be boys.
I'm doing this for two reasons:
1. I don't want another all girl cast.
2. I have faith that a lot of you are more talented than you give yourself credit for so I'm challenging you to step outside the comfort zone of using a girl doll, and instead use a boy.

'LA FOTO: uno dei libri più preziosi che possiedo:
un'edizione dell' Iliade stampata a Basilea nel 1779,
che fa il paio con un'Odissea.
L'immagine ritrae gli ultimi versi dell'Iliade,
in cui si narra la sepoltura del 'domatore di cavalli Ettore'
am Rathaus in Verona (Altitalienisch) - da konnte man Schriften reinwerfen, um Wucherer u.Ä. anzuzeigen. Heutzutage sind nicht so sehr Wucherer das Problem, aber für andere Gruppen würd ich das doch wieder benutzen
Man hat endlich ein paar Tage frei und gleich kriegt man Bronchitis (gut immerhin, daß ich nichts Besonderes vorhatte..)

A lato del casa municipale a Verona. Al giorno d'oggi magari l'usura non è esattamente il problema peggiore, però per altre cose questa fessura io la ripristinerei...
Finalmente alcuni giorni liberi e zak, subito arriva una bronchitina...
