Pachira aquatica, Guiana Chestnut, are a member of the Bombax family. Plant Creations, Inc from Homestead, FL, has a nice writeup on them with some better photos.

The lovely groundnut, Apios americana. Has both edible beans and edible tubers and attempts have been made to create cultivars, but sadly this has not caught on despite some pretty awesome healthful characteristics. This can tow a 6-car train up a gradient of 3.5%, and has a diesel generator to switch to in the event the third rail is off.

Every on-line writeup I've seen of someone doing engine work requiring removal of said engine seems to include a photo of themselves in the empty engine bay.
Happy coincidence, I managed to include the soon-to-be resident of said engine bay waiting patiently in the background of the shot.
Another round of racing in the WSID track championship. Extreame heat does not even begin to explain what it was like on the track. A good day of racing none the less and another lot of images to show.

The big rocky-looking mass at the left is an extreme close-up of the bark on the palm tree I used to steady the camera. I figured it looked interesting, so I left it in.

Violet - likes it when you come over and give her some nice pets. She is 3 years old. She had been at Tualatin Petco and found a new home 7 June 2015 but is back in the shelter as of 8/13 - her current writeup says that small children scare her. Happily she found a new home a week later, 8/20/2015.

Schoool. Today was one of the worst days hands down. I had 4 tests today. I did pretty good on all of them except on my Precal test which I hands down, failed. Because I accidentally switched 2 of my trig values and that screwed up my WHOLE test. :(:(:(:(:(: I have another test and a lab writeup due tomorrow.... Why am I an overachieving Asian? Excited for the weekend though.
