Nice rendition of the Melbourne skyline capturing detail no single exposure could get, but needs blending in of sky and foreground to fix the ugly grain and washed out colour. A work in progress.
Finally starting to make some real progress on this one. I still only consider the model about 50% complete - especially as the base is still sitting on a shelf - but the model no longer seems overwhelming.
Wings were wet blended using VGC Imperial Blue and white. Now that they're dry (sigh) I'm considering going back in to bring them all the way to white at the edges.
Quite a bit of touch-up and little work to do. Also going to try and get a wood display stand... all before the end of the month. Oi.

Can't wait to se this with the crushed gravel on it. It may not be huge and we just used concrete blocks around the edge but it looks sooo much better that before!

My jewelry kit is far too delicate for working with hangers. So I bought (left-to-right) bolt cutters for general cutting, several rods for shaping the wire, a couple of heavy duty pliers, and a nicer set of cutting pliers. We'll see how well this works out. The show is two weekends from now.
