Here are 4 tiny closed rings and the chain.

About this project: So, one of my friends who has her MFA from the University of Memphis decided that she wanted to do an "Exquisite Corpse" game with two of her friends, myself, and another friend of ours who has a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently working on her MFA from UGA. The idea is that we each start a piece of art- send it to one of the other two who sends it to the last of the 3. Now the original Exquisite Corpse game was meant to be an exercise to loosen up and each artist wasn't supposed to see previous stages as not to be influenced by the previous work. This is a little different. The first stage came to me in the mail and I thought it was a scarf and iron on butterflies. No name was on the package nor was there a note. I thought that somebody from Etsy had accidentally mailed me a package by mistake. Then, through process of elimination we discovered that the package was sent from the friend attending UGA. I text messaged her asking if she sent me a scarf to which she replied that it was the first stage in exquisite corpse. So, to make the long story longer... I am doing the second stage of exquisite corpse with what I thought was a scarf and these silver butterflies (one of which my cat ate half of). So in this picture, the head and frame are my contributions to the exquisite corpse game.. but I'm working through ideas. Since the scarf part is highly stretchy, I felt that it would be better to take photos of various configurations rather than attempt to draw sketches. So, this was one possible idea for my stage of the "exquisite corpse".

The four darker ones are the beginnings of a new "itsy-bitsy" model of Purty Bird that I'm trying out.
