Located in the heart of the glamorous city of Cannes —close to the Palais du Festival and famous Croisette walk— the Vieux Port de Cannes has been a long time favourite port of call for boats of all sizes. A wooden quay in front of the Capitainerie can accommodate yachts up to 40m there (50m upon request)

For those who seemed interested in what I did to my last image; the answer is . . . nothing beyond contrast, curves, levels and a crop.
I use RAWShooter Premium for my conversions. I have and downloaded a free copy of Adobe LightRoom but I never got round to installing it because I like RSP.
Resizing and USM were done in PhotoShop Elements
I work on a small team and when I fly solo, I need a mission control booth to run all the projects effectively.
I wrote a blog post about how I use my iPad to process my scanned film images. I cover from scanning to processing and sharing on the social webs.

The Promenade de la Croisette, or Boulevard de la Croisette, is a prominent road in Cannes, France. It stretches along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea and is about 2 km long. The Croisette is known for the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, where the Cannes Film Festival is held. Many expensive shops, restaurants, and hotels (such as the Carlton, Majestic, JW Marriott Cannes, and Martinez) line the road. It goes completely along the coastline of Cannes [Wikipedia.org]
Watch the shots!
We held a quality-control workshop for the staff last night at the coffeebar Tvålpalatset.
First we cupped two 'spro coffees from roaster Costas:
-Finca de Licho, SE, Honey processed from Costa Rica
-Bombastic, 50% La Quetzal Maracatu from Costa Rica & 50% Idido from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia
Then we talked about how to best brew this coffee to get at the flavours we liked about the coffees.
Also how to avoid what we did NOT like about them / things to watch out for....
The staff is an assortment of baristas who have worked between 4 years to 4 months as baristas so we talked about getting rid of or adjusting old bad habits. We challenged people to tell us why they dosed, distributed, tamped as they did. Also much emphasis was put on Watching the Coffee while it brews / pours from the PF to the cup to see when to cut off the shot!
Lots of fun and a much appreciated evening for all!
