Taken from a bell tower in Old Town Warsaw. I think this is the Swietokrzyski Cable Stayed Bridge,. asymmetric 4-lane road bridge with A-pylon, main span 180 m.
May 1 is the Day of the Workers, and people wear shirts and hats and partake in celebrations. This is outside one of the government buildings. There was a band playing and later in the day there was going to be a big parade.
When I asked to take a photo of these guys the one on the left told me it was a good idea because the one on the right had just been named Employee of the Month. I think his name is Eric.

A co-worker let me scan in these two pictures of her participation in 1986's Hands Across America. Workers cutting grass. Many people have their career paths chosen for them in Nepal by their caste or even ethnicity. The traditional caste system in Nepal essentially forced entire clans of people into one type of labor. While these traditional employment systems are not as widespread as before, they still continue in Nepal.
