On 26 April 2019 the ILO in collaboration with the Ministry of Administrative Development Labour and Social Affairs and the Netherlands Embassy organised a 5km fun run for workers in Doha's Aspire Park. Over, 1,000 runners took part in the event, held in recognition of the contribution workers make to the development of modern-day Qatar and to promote solidarity with the workers.

On Wednesday, August 19th, Lt. Governor Karyn Polito met with members of two programs headed by the New England Farm Worker's Council in Springfield.
First, the Lt. Governor met with women receiving shelter services at one of four shelter sites administered by New England Farm Worker’s Council. The women are involved in a program regarding job opportunities for women in the trades.
Next, the Lt. Governor spoke to young adults in the Youthworks Summer Employment program. Approximately 4,000 teenagers across the Commonwealth are participating in the YouthWorks program this summer, which provides summer jobs in the public, non-profit and private sectors to lower-income young people ages 14 to 21.
