Royal Mail workers have been on strike today; the first of 19 proposed strikes in a long-running dispute over pay and conditions. So with no bills to open, no parcels to unwrap, we cracked on with this collage puzzle of foreign postage stamps, our last jigsaw before we leave for a fortnight's holiday in Kefalonia.
This is one of a pair of puzzles purchased earlier this year and saved until now. Corner Piece puzzles have a tight fit and bright, clear images, and these collage-type ones are relaxing to assemble when something undemanding is required.

The presence of workable coal reserves at a coastal location gave rise to an extensive salt-boiling industry in Scotland, principally around the Firth of Forth but also as far west as Arran and as far north as Brora in Sutherland.
Water was pumped from the sea into huge iron pans. Coal was burnt in furnaces beneath them until all of the water had been driven off. The less than pure salt was then drawn off, stored and bagged.
Prestonpans was one of the first and the last salt-panning sites in Scotland.
Restaurant worker

Most of the time if you ask to take a photo of someone in Chinatown they say no immediately and sometimes even put their hand in front of their face to ensure you can't get a photo of them. I sometimes try anyway and this restaurant worker was smoking a cigarette outside his place of business on the corner of Mulberry and Bayard street.
He agreed to let me take his photo but asked to first put his cigarette down
Hong Kong is the home of some 250,000 migrant workers. Most of them are coming from Indonesia and the Philippines. Every Sundays, they come out to meet friends and make calls to their families.
Communication helps to comfort and to sustain them.
Took a couple of pictures of the grass cutting and a man who was happy to pose for a photo. Think he liked it!
Finished building the mobile worker I was working on. It isn't supposed to be a perfect replica, sorta my take on it. Plus there's the modular segments that I want to incorporate into my mocs.
Anyways, suspension on all three tires work, and there is a small removable block in the top where you can place another minifig. The cockpit holds a minifig too.
During the dry season workers employed in mining stones from the bed of the Goyain River at Jaflong, Bangladesh, live in temporary shelters like these. In the rainy season this area is underwater.
