The carving of a Class 8F steam engine in black granite rests on top of a plinth, which includes a montage of images representing the railway industry.

The memorial celebrates the achievements of railway workers over 150 years, and measures about 2.7m (9ft) wide by 2.3m (7.5ft) high.

Finished building the mobile worker I was working on. It isn't supposed to be a perfect replica, sorta my take on it. Plus there's the modular segments that I want to incorporate into my mocs.

I think the man on the right side is a chimney-sweeper. He is barefooted because working on a slippery roof was safer without shoes.

I have no clue about the three men with white work coats and I cannot identify what they are carrying on their shoulders. Could it be that they are stove fitters? I think there must be a relationship to the chimney sweeper.

(No time or place given. I suppose 1880s)
