For my first Workday as your Representative, I wanted to bring attention to those who professionally serve our community, the men and women whose jobs are dedicated to helping others.

i made my first behind the scenes video on the blog! check it out and let me know what you think. :] it was just for fun.
At the park where I sketched a chimney, there was a group holding a workday to eradicate invasive English ivy. A great opportunity to practice drawing people in action. I stayed about an hour. The volunteers lasted longer than I did - ivy pulling must be less strenuous than gesture sketching.

Over 50 volunteers helped to upgrade the library telescopes on Saturday. This photo is a portion of the volunteers (just 28). Some were camera shy (particularly the students), some were working and would not break away and some were in/out all day. The volunteers did a terrific job getting all 50 telescopes completed by 4:20 pm -- ahead of schedule.
