First colour slide shots taken on my RZ67 part of my self portrait project.
Big thanks to Dan and Tomasz for helping me sneek this through before the inductions!
Initial work on a LCC fire station. The roof and other chimneys will make for a complex construction so it's easier to build the main part of the structure before getting to grips with the more tricky stuff.
The model is based upon the Edwardian station at Millwall, Isle of Dogs (now closed) although I have doubled the number of bays.
Part of the oil rig I work on reflected in a puddle. 8 photos stitched together to give an unusual panorama, Quite like it though.
More in the Jezblog 'my own shoes' series ............. this time Jez is modeling heavy duty metal toe work boots on a visit to a mine ......... this stuff will be all the rage in the Fall shows ........
I am wearing a ton of mega safety gear the mine operator insists on........ these guys were mega serious on safety........ the training in using the respirator was very thorough......... alarming and reassuring all at once........
In the picture...... I am in the 'man trip'....... a mixture between a cage and a tiny train carriage that takes you the bumpy 5 miles to the coal face.....
I must sleep mines are so tiring........... I always come away from an underground visit to a mine with renewed respect and liking for miners.......... not sure I could do this everyday....... but more tomorrow.......
Cheers Jez XXXXXXX
PS...... Sorry to anyone attempting to speak to me on the phone...... the cell signal is pretty poor in West Virginia anyway...... and by the time you are down the mines....... hehehe........ even Apple technology can't deal with that yet :-))
Stephanie has been featured here before (www.flickr.com/photos/samuelrussell/7125703573/in/photost...). She's another co-worker that is very photogenic and doesn't mind having her photo taken. She's also very fashionable and I really liked her pink top and polka-dot dress (can't see it too well here). I'm really happy with how most of these headshots came out so I'm glad people give me permission to share them.
Shot with D90 and 85mm f/1.8D (natural light outside our office)
