“You can talk with someone for years, everyday, and still, it won't mean as much as what you can have when you sit in front of someone, not saying a word, yet you feel that person with your heart, you feel like you have known the person forever.... connections are made with the heart, not the tongue.”

The word succulent comes from the Latin word sucus, meaning 'juice', or 'sap'. Succulent plants, also known as succulents, are plants with parts that are thickened, fleshy and engorged, usually to retain water in arid climates or soil conditions. Succulents are often grown as ornamental plants because of their striking and unusual appearance, as well as their ability to thrive with relatively minimal care. The habitats of these water preserving plants are often in areas with high temperatures and low rainfall, such as deserts. Succulents have the ability to thrive on limited water sources, such as mist and dew, which makes them equipped to survive in an ecosystem which contains scarce water sources. 14482

The word sail, a monument to poetry, is the name of a steel sculpture by Heinrich Popp.

The sculpture stands on an open field northwest of Sotzweiler, the birthplace of the sculptor and today a district of the Saarland municipality of Tholey in the district of St. Wendel. On an elevation of about 338 metres above NHN, the sculpture represents a landmark visible from afar.

The word sail consists of two sail-shaped triangles, one of which stands on the top and which are twisted against each other. The two halves of the sail, made of stainless steel, are welded together at their highest point. At the same time, the empty space between the two steel plates also has a sail-like shape, depending on the point of view.

The monument, a gift from Heinrich Popp to his home community, was erected in 2005 after several years of planning and execution. The two steel plates were cast in the Dillinger HĂŒtte and rolled to a thickness of 3 cm. The sculpture has a height of 13 meters and a total weight of approx. 30 tons.

The term word sail is also the name of a writing and poetry competition initiated by the artist at participating schools in Saarland.

I love the colorful clothes she wears

And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair

I hear the sound of a gentle word

On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air

Thank you for taking the time to view this photo, and for the faves and comments you make, thank you.

Today is a pink day at Color my World Daily and the theme at the fabulous Smile on Saturday! Group is: one word.

One word is a big challenge for me, as you can imagine
I like to talk, and one word isn’t enough for me!! So, I decided to use the color of the day as my word. So here you go, have an awesome "one word/pink" day my friends!!

Since I had a little party yesterday, I will be away since I have lots of stuff to do (which I didn’t do yesterday) and also, I probably have a hung over since I was planning on heavily drinking and eating as much cake as I can have before starting my “healthy eating” thing, once again lol. And as my present self knows my future self: I wasn’t a classy lady, so chances are I did drink like a sailor
. Don’t count on me today
So see you later alligator!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts / positive vibes!! It is truly appreciated! Have a great day and see you soon!!

For the group, Macro Mondays I have captured part of a shaving socket showing clearly that this is for shavers only! Theme today - One Word!

A mushroom, or toadstool, is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground, on soil, or on its food source. The standard for the name mushroom is the cultivated white button mushroom, Agaricus bisporus; hence the word mushroom is most often applied to those fungi (Basidiomycota, Agaricomycetes) that have a stem (stipe), a cap (pileus), and gills (lamellae, sing. lamella) on the underside of the cap. Mushroom also describes a variety of other gilled fungi, with or without stems, therefore the term is used to describe the fleshy fruiting bodies of some Ascomycota. These gills produce microscopic spores that help the fungus spread across the ground or its occupant surface. Forms deviating from the standard morphology usually have more specific names, such as bolete, puffball, stinkhorn, and morel, and gilled mushrooms themselves are often called agarics in reference to their similarity to Agaricus or their order Agaricales. By extension, the term mushroom can also refer to either the entire fungus when in culture, the thallus (called a mycelium) of species forming the fruiting bodies called mushrooms, or the species itself. 20063

Butterfly pea flower comes from a plant called clitoria ternatea that's native to Southeast Asia. The flowers are deep blue in color with a tinge of purple. The dried flowers are popular in Southeast Asia to color food like rice and it's also brewed in water to make a blue-colored tea. A drop of Lemon juice will turn Blue in Purple.

The name anemone comes from the Greek word for "windflower." According to Greek mythology, the anemone sprang from Aphrodite's tears as she mourned the death of Adonis.

Thought to bring luck and protect against evil, legend has it that when the anemone closes its petals, it's a signal that rain is approaching.

Still other mythology connects the anemone to magical fairies, who were believed to sleep under the petals after they closed at sunset. Perhaps it's because of this magical and prophetic tales that today in the language of flowers, anemones represent anticipation
