Now that I've made a few of these guitars I realize that the thinner the cigar box is the louder it will play acoustically. Of course if you're playing these electrically it doesn't seem to matter how thick or thin the cigar box is. We have been running the guitars through a mixer and into Macs and using GarageBand for effects. It's very fun!

Now, "Passing Through", a balanced kinetic sculpture with interacting elements that glide around slowly in delightful patterns with the motion of ambient air in a room.

This custom Oak with dyed black legs, black trim and accessories, makes an attractive table that fulfills the customer's media needs.

This piece is pictured after delivery and installation of TV and other media components. The area above the stained glass door was custom built for the customer's cherished collectibles.

I had many options open to me for making the tiny cabinet doors just a hair thinner. Being the same width as their respective openings, they didn't have the necessary gaps to allow the hinges room, nor to allow for swinging them open. I did relieve the back inside vertical edges (3/16" roundover bit, matching the shelves, and outer edges/corners) so they'd clear, and so I wouldn't need as much of a gap of clearance.

Ultimately, I decided to mark the line up to what I wanted to shave away using the General marking ruler (left foreground), which has tiny 0.5mm holes in it that allow the mechanical pencil in them to make marks, or by dragging the ruler along the edge, to create lines at exact offsets. I did this, then clamped the board to that line in parallel bars I'd made in my planer out of 2x2s. Then I simply random-orbit sanded the door edges flush with the bars. It worked out quite well, though was messy, as sanding always is. I look forward to the Delta dust collector currently in shipment.
