A cutting board I made in my garage-woodworking shop as a Christmas gift. This one is made of hard maple and bloodwood.

The Pontsteiger is based on a hourglass shape that lands like a half-open building block. Placing the block on 7-meter-high pylons, the view of the water is preserved and the courtyard is freely accessible. There is also a landing place for the ferry, a harbour and a café on the corner.
This project shows that you can also enhance the living environment. For example, the wooden ceilings with which the balconies are finished. These wooden ceilings give the building a warm atmosphere, while referring to the locations history of timber docks while dampening the sound from the ports. Or the rolling shape of the entrance pavilions, which helps to limit wind nuisance in the courtyard.

My latest set of shop made cutting boards. These are made of black limba, maple and an orange-ish wood that I have forgotten the name of. It's been in my shop unused for so many years, I lost all memory of what it is.
One of the cutting boards I made. They make great gifts. This one is make of hard maple, padauk, and black limba. You can see a mistake I made on the edging -- my router dug out a little too munch! There's also a pretty obvious scratch. Oh well. The knife marks will soon cover it up.
This one is very small. Would be good for a bar for cutting limes & lemons.

This is step 3 in making cutting boards. The first step decide on the wood choices and arrangement. The second step is to cut the wood. The third step is to glue the wood planks up. I use Titebond III. It's food-safe and strong.
