Wolverine - a light and fast wall puncher. Powered by very powerfull steam engine, operated by a single man and equipped with three spikes on each "arm" it's gonna serve the Imperial Steamland where the job needs to be done.
After seeing a number of really great Battletech builds lately, it got me thinking about which battlemech was my favorite. Almost immediately I settled on the Wolverine. While not flashy, it usually got the job done. It was tough, and could deal good damage - it was just never a show stealer, I liked that.
More than a few times this guy would show up in my lance, and it would really help round it out.
It's typical armament was an autocannon (AC/5), SRM 6 launcher, and a medium laser. And that's what I've depicted here.
That thing in his right hand is a reload for the autocannon.

Gulo, a male wolverine, shuch a powerful guy for their size.
... worth getting up at 4:00 am .... YOU BET !
An early morning departure for five Guelph Photography Guild members provided some fantastic shooting time at the Muskoka Wildlife Centre. Dale and Keith were great hosts.
Some faces look better in a small scale. Magnified Wolverine feels unnatural, though I admit that it's a pleasure to see all the details of his face so clearly (apart from the fact that I still don't know how to use my camera, the light and all the other things that need to be mastered in order to take good photos)
Looks like he is thinking about his next meal already!
Wolverines are an endangered species, and they are critically endangered in Finland!
Wolverine River, near Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. This was taken on the day after most of the leaves blew down. Tumbler Ridge is known for being a windy area and after the leaves start turning, it doesn't take long for the trees to be blown bare.
A trout jumped right when I was taking this photo... too bad I was out taking photos and not fishing.
Wolverine is always a character that is fun to shoot (or photograph).
Lonstermash makes sure to bring out the essence of the character with every pose.
You can find more of him at: www.facebook.com/Lonstermash
The wolverine (Gulo gulo) is a medium sized powerful animal that resembles a small bear but is actually the largest member of the weasel family. The wolverine can be found in isolated arctic and alpine regions of northern Canada, Alaska, Siberia, and Scandinavia; they are also native to European Russia, the Baltic countries, the Russian Far East, northeast China and Mongolia.
The wolverine, also referred to as glutton, carcajou, skunk bear, or quickhatch, is a stocky, muscular animal with short legs, and a broad, rounded head. Adult wolverine are roughly the size of a medium dog, with a typical length of 65 - 87 cm, a tail of 17 - 26 cm, and a weight of 10 - 25 kg, although exceptionally large males can weigh over 30 kg. Males up to 30 percent larger than females.
They are well adapted to the cold habitat of their northern range with a thick, bushy coat and broad, hairy paws. The glossy coat is dark brown with a paler stripe across the rump and along the sides of the body; some individuals have white throat patches.
The wolverine generally eats mice, rats and other small mammals, birds and eggs during the summer months when these small animals are in abundance. During the bitter winter however, when snow covers the ground, the wolverine tends to hunt larger animals such as reindeer (caribou), sheep and moose.
