The Detroit Athletic Club hosted a special performance of 'Victors of Character: a Story of Loyalty, Integrity, and the Courage to Make a Difference on October 21, 2019. The event marked the 85th anniversary of the game and included a tailgate-inspired strolling dinner and special guest Coach Jack Harbaugh.
Mister husband was Wolverine for Halloween this year - he already had the chops & hair, and we just stitched some black panels onto a thrifted yellow shirt & found some claws at Value Village. :) He was in character the whoooole party. lol. :)

I had a lovely hour or so with The Wolverines at CWP - they were f=really funny and full of energy - hard to photograph though as the enclosure was quite dark and there were lots of trees ... mind you - nice for them so i can't complain !!

The canvas has been stencilled and painted with a MTN94 Varnish. The card has been painted using MTN94 Aerosol paint then layered up to create a 3D Canvas.

A surprise visitor shows up on a marten researcher's camera trap.
This was the first documented wolverine in California since 1922, and caused quite a flap.
DNA collected by hair traps and scat sniffing dogs told us he was more related to populations in the Rocky Mountains than to California museum specimens. Isotopes in the hair told us where he'd been drinking his water: he started out in the Sawtooth of Idaho.
Could a wolverine walk that far, over freeways and developed areas? A radio-collared one made a similar trip from Canada to Wyoming the next year, so...
The wolverine turned up on camera traps from Bowman Lake to Kingvale for the next 8 years. The most recent Sagehen detection was in 2016. That's getting close to his expected lifespan, but we haven't had camera traps out since then, either.
