The college took us to a wolf sanctuary to take photos. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I really enjoyed my time there.

End their misery - Free this wolf and donkey in Albania www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/171270834

A wolf and a donkey share a cage in the northwestern town of Patok in Albania, about 40 km (25 miles) from capital the Tirana, May 9, 2007. The donkey was brought into the enclosure to be fed to the wolf, which was caught in the northern Albanian mountains four months ago. The animals have since become attached to each other, cohabitating in the cage for the last 10 days, and attracting curious villagers and local media.

These poor animals live in misery, the scared wolf cowers behind his donkey companion. They live in appalling filthy conditions with little room.

Please be a voice for these animals and ask for their freedom.

Omega Park, Quebec, Canada

Taken during a visit to the Jacksonville, Florida zoo. A great zoo with awesome photo ops of a lot of animals. Also, there is lots of shade and places to sit and rest. Would highly recommend this for a great way to spend the day.

Name: Bosco

Species: Gray Wolf

Sex: Male

Location from: Rocky Mountain region

Other: This was a captive breeding male, housed in what was likely a zoo-stock facility. He died at the age of 5 from a currently unknown to me health issue. Has some post-mortem tooth enamel damage, but otherwise a relatively strong-boned individual.

Species Info: Wolves are social, family-oriented individuals that travel in family groups. This group consists of two mates and their offspring, with pack numbers ranging from 6 to 15 individuals. They are large, stocky animals who feed on ungulates and small mammals, as well as sometimes fish, carrion, and human trash. Despite their long history with humans where they often play the villain, wolves are often quite shy if not fearful of humans and attacks are rare.

Their range includes both the New World and Old World. Their current territories are Michigan, Wisconsin, Montana, Idaho, Minnesota, Wyoming, and Arizona as well as the majority of Canada and Eurasia. Environments can vary for the wolf due to different location factors, but they can live in desert, forest, valley, or arctic habitat.
