No, THIS GUY is buff!

Orcs never fight alone. If it's worth doing, it's worth bringing the whole horde along.

I actually couldn't atmosphere this photo up - I had to show off every angle because this thing is so disturbing. And awesome!

So, what's got two heads, a crab's carapace, and can shoot anybody anywhere? The Unspeakable Brothers, that's who! Their ability does not activate often, but when it does you get to make two powerful ranged attacks at once! TWO! I love these dudes. They are soooo unspeakable.

Why is this picture so dark? Because these guys live in the realm of darkness, that's why!

Death Titans are the monstrous rulers of the Death Giants, and lord over much of the dark Shadowfell plane. Not only are they vicious, but they gain power by absorbing souls, which swirl around them like an aura. For perspective sake, the small guys in t his photo are about fifteen feet tall.

Air elementals vary greatly in size and power. This one is a hurricane.

Rakshasa are not native to the Nine Hells, but sometimes they serve beings like Zariel.

Powerful, colorful, and charged with lightning.

Mysterious denizens of the ruins!

Some 4th Edition changes are good, some are bad. I LOVE the Cyclops change! They were originally just one-eyed giants, but now...

Cyclopes are the servants of the Fomorians, titanic and insane evil-eyed giants who rule the Feywild with an iron fist. Cyclopes act as their henchmen and smiths, creating weapons and armor for their overlords. Also, they can put the Evil Eye on you and smash you to jelly.

Some things should never be released.

This mini makes good tidal wave terrain. It's so-so on water because of its big black base, though it can be pried off with ease. Also, it's got a face. Water with a face!

Anybody wanna tell me how you can kill a water elemental by hitting it with a sword?

When the corrupted spirit of a demon is infused with the necrotic energies of the undead, it produces an abomination.

A noble defender of justice!

Not only is the Ankheg one of D&D's most classic monsters, it's also an original creation! A kind of underground bug, Ankhegs can tunnel through the earth with ease, and spit acid on their victims.

I could spend all day explaining why the ghost's face is split or why it isn't the same as the split-faced Yokai (real Japanese ghost!), or I could just say that this is the same Wraith mini I creatively lit for the volcano ghost picture.

Strange, semi-mechanical toadlike beasts, Hezrou are powerful demonic brutes. Not only are they strong enough to demolisha building, but their stench is an offensive weapon that can fell armies!

The hounds of Hell really aren't your typical little fluffy poodles.

Or anything. Honestly. Do YOU wanna pet the doggy?

She lies frozen, awaiting Ragnarok

He's just starting out.

Not your greatest challenge ever.

The door is alive, and travels across the wall! I wonder where it leads... but I'd have to catch it first!

The runes to immortality are etched in its shell. It steals the breath of the living.

Death has servants.

These stone beasts can disguise themselves as statues!

They roam the plains of Acheron, devouring whatever they find.

Not necessarily evil!

"The keep's walls are lined with the bones of those who dare assault it."

Warfang Keep is a great example of a "Location" in Dreamblade, a piece which functions not as an attacking soldier, but a massive environmental effect for that square or adjacent ones. Warfang Keep increased victory points earned nearby, whereas others might up spawn points, block enemies, attack on their own, or even shift pieces around at random. Getting rid of a location is difficult, too, ensuring that location placement is key in Dreamblade. I know that it was the case in my team - once I got my two locations down (and I did 90% of the time), then I'd have enough spawn points to bring in my heavy hitters immediately without delay.

Try to stare at this for a while and not start scratching your arms.

This half-dragon has chosen the path of the warrior.

You know what they say: Two heads are better than one!

Sometimes, it's better not to know what that eye belongs to...

This high priest of the Yuan-Ti has a pet!

She wields the darkened fires of eternity.

Not a very heroic party.

Compare this lava monster with the Magma Hurler wayyyyyy back at the beginning of my photostream. Two totally different textures! Though it matters not, I like lava creatures all the same. Rockfire Dreadnoughts combine fire and earth just right to be semi-solid hulks of magma, and quite dangerous in or out of their natural habitat.

"Ook, ook, ook, AAK AAK AAK!"

Okay, he didn't actually say that, but I'm getting bored with all these Dreamblade figures that don't have quotes on their bases, ya know? Anyway, Stormrider Shaman, blah blah, gives you more points, something something.

It's a gorilla carrying lightning. That's cool, right?

Some monsters just want to watch the world burn.

Look at how many eyes he has!

Yeah, I got bored.

His plans always go with a bang.

These horned demons are Hell's slave drivers.

Of course, you can't expect Rakshasa to be without variants - EVERYTHING in D&D has a variant! So, you take a Rakshasa and give him a sword, and he's a new sub-species! The Zakya are martial and fairly less-magical than their regular brethren, serving as soldiers underneath more powerful Rakshasa barons.

The question is never whether you "can" create something, but whether you should. They really should have thought this one out.

These carnivorous plants are the size of trees, but as flexible as any vine when they strangle and crush their prey!

A chief among his people, the Troll Champion is massive, powerful, and bigger than his brethren. Even with fire and acid, this brute will give your party a huge challenge.

These barbed devils are very spiny to the touch, and thus make excellent guards.

Earth Archon Elementals guard their posts endlessly, controlling the very ground itself to assist them in their duty.
