Snowing this morning here.
A wise old owl lived in an oak
The more he saw the less he spoke
The less he spoke the more he heard.
Why can’t we all be like that wise old bird?

Here is my version of the well knowed "Three wise monkeys"
I wanted to build a funny version of them but decided to go for a classic version instead.
Hope you'll enjoy them ;)

As I sat on the pier at Bodega Harbor watching several Common Loons fishing I was struck by their elegant & serene beauty & how very 'wise' they appeared to me!
This one swam up very close to us as if questioning our reason for being there aiming cameras at it!
Please view large!

The swirly abstract background is my own. The image with the 3 wise men came from publicdomainpictures.net.
A coastal oak tree in a protected reserve in San Diego County, California. HDR image with a glow effect for an ethereal feel. (reprocessed without watermarks and framing).
I'm happy to present my second build for the Iron Forge, from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the famous scene of the Holy Grail. Choose wisely!

I was glad to see that the organizers chose the seed part wisely! It was a chalince to build, but I used the tap 15 times, for the torches, the swastika, the ashes, and of course the goblets!
It even has its own Instagram hashtag, #wiseoldoak. Apparently people seek him along Health Valley Trail. We stumbled upon him ignorant and unexpectedly.
Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.
A closer look at some trees I made for my winter landscape.
They are pretty stable and can even be held upside down without any problem (which is more than I could say for some of my other trees :P).
Looks wise I think the shape turned out ok, and I like the fullness of the tree. Not sure how easy it will be to mix other colors in with the white in order to represent the parts not covered by snow though.
An Eagle Owl is surely one of the most impressing owls - just have a look to this orange glowing eye!
Mom
You can tell, can't you
Truly a wise woman
She sees through you
She loves you just like you are
But she is a lion at heart
She doesn't show her lion
But when you understand what has been going on in your own life...
Then you can see what she saw years ago
That is a true lion
Letting you yourself discover the imbalances without interfering
Hoping that the light finally willl shine through
What an awakening it is to see and get to know your mom in adult life, when you yourself understands a little bit more of what was going on
I'm truly blessed and I'm very thankful
I'd rather trust a countryman than a townman,
You can judge by his eyes, take a look if you can,
He'll smile through his guard,
Survival trains hard.
