For this project I choose to analyze, abstract, and reinterpret the spatial qualities of the Sheepshank knot into a wireframe model. A thirty-six-inch piece of piano wire was used to create the model. The overall dimensions were limited to 5”H x 4”L x 3”W. Only straight vectors could be used, the model had to be self-supporting, and no vectors could be touching.

Currently in the process of sculpting the Deacon from Prometheus. Normally, I would scupt a base figure from aluminum foil, but since the Deacon has a really skinny body, I decided it best to first make a wireframe of the body and mold the foil around it.

Playing with "Autobaroque", a tool I made recently to explore some of the underlying behaviours of the serpentines in a lot of more classical ornamentation.
