WIRE 2016, Week of Innovative Regions in Europe 2016, hosted by Brainport region Eindhoven

A wired fence marks territory for sheeps in the mountain.

The multiple blades of a razor wire fence are designed to inflict serious cuts on anyone attempting to climb through (they also make excellent plastic bag catchers).

Found this awesome wire shelf at my very favorite thrift store for like $8. It was intended for the inside of an armoire that needed shelves, but I liked it better out in the open where I could load it up with treasures!

Currently on display: things in my favorite colors of the moment - pink and aqua!

reminded me of the anime "lain". - from the arakawa tram line.

A brief look at a night at the dog track, the 'Wire' being the common term for the finish line.

Through these images we visit the situations and people that make this cornerstone of British culture so popular. From 'Bristol John' to the 'boys from Tuckswood', all life is here, in one small space, on any given night.

Engineer and entrepreneur Edward “Skip” Stritter ’68 is chairman of VillageTech Solutions, a nonprofit that provides energy and access for people in rural Nepal. One of VillageTech Solutions' projects is constructing wire bridges across the deep river canyons that isolate villages and make travel treacherous.

Villagers are also getting construction help from Thayer students, including M.E.M. candidate David Drennan and Mike Wood ’10.

This is Lucy's pattern from her Attic 24 blog, in magenta wire with pink beads!

Wire necklace with jasper pendant. At least I think it's jasper.

Second day of experimenting with SL fashion. This time I've been experimenting with transparencies. I'm getting better at dressing Bluesmoke Hancroft up. It's still not perfect, but I'm learning as I go on. I call this one Wired. This is image 8 of 8.

I dearly love glass tiles. There's something inherently mysterious about all translucent materials, and when you combine that mystery with the soft geometry of tile I get all a-twitter.
