The title for this piece came to me in one of the most intense dreams I've had lately. I completed the composition earlier in the day, but couldn't arrive at a proper title. So while sleeping, this phrase is something two characters say to each other as a means of affirming their aspirations. One says to the other, who is an aspiring inventor, "Wired to heaven - patents." And the inventor says to the other, "Wired to heaven - art." I'm really not sure where that came from or its significance, but I like the context and think it works for this composition, with trees snapped at sunset forming the background for an overlay of what they can be used for (the boards), and an element of nature that makes its home in the trees. The feather I found in my front yard months ago; the boards are the back of my garage, and the trees are a few miles from my home. See the source components here,

The wire-tailed swallow (Hirundo smithii) is a small passerine bird in the swallow family. It has two subspecies: H. s. smithii, which occurs throughout Africa, and H. s. filifera, which is found in southern and southeastern Asia. It is mainly resident, but populations in Pakistan and northern India migrate further south in winter. The genus name Hirundo is the Latin word for swallow. The species name smithii commemorates Christen Smith, a Norwegian botanist and geologist.
The wire-tailed swallow is a small swallow, measuring 18 cm (7.1 in) in length. It has bright blue upperparts, bright white underparts and a chestnut cap. Immature birds lack tail wires, and have dull brown (rather than chestnut) caps. The species is named for the very long filamentous outermost tail feathers, which trail behind like two wires. The sexes are similar in appearance, but the female has shorter "wires". Juveniles have a brown crown, back and tail. The Asian form, H. s. filifera, is larger and longer-tailed than the abundant African H. s. smithii.
The neat half-bowl nests are lined with mud collected in the swallows' beaks. They are placed on vertical surfaces near water under cliff ledges or more commonly on man-made structures such as buildings and bridges. The clutch is three to four eggs in Africa, up to five in Asia (Turner and Rose). These birds are solitary and territorial nesters, unlike many swallows, which tend to be colonial.

Sembra di essere catapultati in qualche scorcio di Berlino in miniatura: palazzi commerciali intervallati da giardini ben curati, dove si respira il vento di una tradizione imprenditoriale tra le più ricche d’Italia, e invece siamo a Brescia Due, il polo industriale che cerca di rinnovare e innovarsi. Ed è qui che Tag, l’acronimo di Talent Garden ha messo il primo seme. Si tratta di un giardino nato per far germogliare i talenti, che ha aperto i battenti proprio ieri sera, evolvendo il concetto americano di coworking in co-passion. “ Cerchiamo di individuare dei potenziali talenti – dice Maria Seccamani Mazzoli, presidente dell’Editoriale Bresciana – che possano estendere il nostro lavoro nella comunicazione e nell’informazione con passione”. Un tam tam per chi cerca di lanciarsi nel mondo del lavoro con le idee e l’ innovazione.
Una sfida interessante in un momento di crisi che lascia ben sperare. I soci sono tre: Davide Dattoli, 21 anni ed Enrico Ballerini, 25 anni, coadiuvati dall’esperienza del Ceo Gianfausto Ferrari, leader di Superpartes Spa. Il loro obiettivo è quello di rendere più europeo il concetto di coworking per creare non solo servizi e condivisione del lavoro, ma anche degli incubatori di talenti.
Il tutto in un’area di 750 metri quadri di uffici distribuiti su due piani con 56 postazioni di lavoro e connessione Internet – 20 già prenotate con la preiscrizione -, interior design tutto in legno e cartone progettato da Elio Ragnoli del Lab di architettura , con spazi di relax come il calcio balilla, perché le idee vengono anche giocando.
“Questo è prima di tutto un luogo e una partenza – dice Gianfausto Ferrari – per far germogliare le idee. La sfida è far crescere dei talenti e capire come si potranno aiutare a volare. Vorrei riuscire a creare, oltre che un’opportunità per i giovani, un Web-distretto per la città e le altre città italiane come Torino, Roma e Milano con cui abbiamo contatti avviati”.
Un confronto raccolto dagli abitanti di Talent Garden che hanno già fatto una selezione e un pich di presentazione per illustrare al meglio il loro progetto. C’è Damiano Targhettini, 26 anni grafico pubblicitario free lance che collabora da 7 anni con aziende di comunicazione e che sogna un pezzo di Silicon Valley a Brescia: “Ho accettato la sfida perché questa nuova realtà mi ricorda la mentalità e l’imprenditorialità che si respira in California, dove quest’estate ho passato le mie vacanze lavoro. A settembre ho chiuso con l’azienda per cui lavoravo e ho aperto una partita Iva per provare ad essere “talent garden”.
Poi ci sono gli 87 Magenta, formati da Enea Rossi e Damiano Cominelli, 27 e 25 anni che sperimentano la creatività, il web e nuove tecnologie con una start up di creativi, fotografi, web designer, professionisti della comunicazione, copywriter ed esperti Seo che collaborano sui progetti di comunicazione e condividono competenze e risorse, cercando di moltiplicare la rete di contatti per farne un successo.
”Vogliamo vivere un nuovo network – raccontano insieme – di “incubatore di idee”: cerchiamo un confronto con tutti gli abitanti del garden, per crescere come persone in un luogo dinamico e flessibile”.
Ma come si fa a entrare? Ce lo racconta Alessandra Balzani, designer, grafica e illustratrice specializzata in interfacce grafiche per applicazioni Ipad, Iphone e Android, per bambini. ”Se avete un’idea, la presentate ad una specie di comitato scientifico che verificherà le vostre qualità e poi il gioco sarà fatto. Certo se uno non si trova deve essere libero di andarsene, così come è venuto”.
