Two Bald Eagles in an epic food fight below the electrical transmission lines of the Conowingo Hydroelectric Plant.

Just some weeds caught on the barbed wire. I thought it looked interesting.

From Wikipedia:

The Shukhov radio tower (Russian: Шуховская башня), also known as the Shabolovka tower, is a broadcasting tower in Moscow designed by Vladimir Shukhov. The 160-metre-high free-standing steel structure was built in the period 1920–1922, during the Russian Civil War. It is a hyperboloid structure (hyperbolic steel gridshell).

Thursday was the one day of the Bay Area trip where I didn't have any sporting events on the schedule, so left Oakland early heading to check another shortline off the list. After a couple of hours, finally found a job working around the massive industrial park between the namesake locations of Modesto and Empire. That's a pretty snazzy paint scheme (and kudos for them keeping the power spotless!) but sure wish could have made it out here in the SW1500 or 70-tonner days.

Day 339

I've got to start looking down. Maybe next year.
