I've had this ball of wire on my desk since I did the wire man shot last year. It's lived on the end of my pencil and I found myself staring down at it during a confcall a few days ago and thinking... "I can get a shot out of that." ;)

Thursday was the one day of the Bay Area trip where I didn't have any sporting events on the schedule, so left Oakland early heading to check another shortline off the list. After a couple of hours, finally found a job working around the massive industrial park between the namesake locations of Modesto and Empire. That's a pretty snazzy paint scheme (and kudos for them keeping the power spotless!) but sure wish could have made it out here in the SW1500 or 70-tonner days.
I took an extra turn or two around the boss for a little extra wire so I can splice in a pair of Velo Lumino's micro banana plugs.

Ahh missing home.. this is one of the old pictures I took when I was there in December, coming back from visiting my friends... Cannot wait for the easter break!
