What do pointe ballet shoes and a barbed wire fence on a country road have in common? Absolutely nothing but I sure love how they look together :)

Tomorrow we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving and I have so many many things to be grateful for. I honestly don't know how I got so lucky. If you are in the USA I wish you a lovely Thanksgiving, filled with family, love, laughter, good food and things that make you happy (even if they have nothing in common). To those not in the US, have a rocking rest of the week :)

40135 840108 Man Picc Wiring Train

Here's one of CFPS Stalwart 40135 at Manchester Piccadilly on a wiring train one Sunday morning on 8th January 1984.

At this time every Sunday morning the power at Piccadilly would go off and the diesels would come out to play on the services towards London and Birmingham.

Some of the Birmingham train were booked Steam Heat Loco's for a few years before this but the ETH fitted loco's were slowly taking over. Also the Euston train, being predominately ETH 47/4's, also had the capability to drop other classes, 40's being the most likely. We certainly were not complaining!
