Not only are we treated to colorful sunrises and sunsets in winter - but we also see the snow take on the color of the skies. What a treat!

I think I would say that this is winter wonderland 😁😁😂😂😁😁

Me and my friend Johan fooling around as we are shooting the northern lights. It´s kind of an odd picture since it is bright and dark at the same time. That´s because we have the moon in our back and the star lit sky with aurora borealis in the other direction which makes for quite some contrast between the foreground and the background.

It's quite fun to see how things work. Normally I'm too busy to travel to mom in December. This year I felt that it was a right timing.

Thank God for that.

This extreme weather we had from the day I came until yesterday was not nice for mom to handle herself.

In Norway it's quite common to travel up to the mountain and celebrate Easter.

Packing our backpack, bringing our skis, either cross country or slalom skiing.

Either traveling to a rented cottage or you own one yourself.

There are always an orange or two in the backpack.

Hot chocolate and coffee or tea.

And then there is Kvikk Lunsj, this is a chocolate snack with wafer inside. We can't travel without it.

No wonder we think it's a must, it has been in our backpacks since 1937, lol.

There are lots of cottages to rent, so do come - we love our tourists. And you can see we have diamonds too, free to sample your own.

It's this urge, it kind of boils inside me

How happy you feel when you see what is unfolding in front of you

How happy you are to be out hiking

Using your body and mind in the best way ever

That's joy, the ultimate joy, instant joy, no fake

I find light in different ways, either it's inner light or out in nature, hiking or together with certain people.

There are some precious people out there. Spending your time with this kind of people you may actually feel that there has been switched on an inner extra light within you when you stay in their sphere.

You get recharged

That is also a kind of light

A very nice Flickr Friend mentioned the song Sounds of Silence on one of my photos and then of course this marvelous song goes through my head each time I am in the same modus I was at the time he mentioned it 😋

It is a beautiful day outside - but I can't see very much of it from my kitchen window. Oh well - hopefully the snow will melt by mid-May.

Sunset was nice, this is the after glow.

This is where the Richardson and the Glenn Highways meet in Glennallen Alaska. "The Hub" gas station is busy year around - and just jampacked with tourists every summer. You must pass through this corner if you are heading for Valdez to the south, or Anchorage to the west.

I have mentioned this area a few times - but have never posted a photo. Now you can see for yourself.

This was the day I had all kind of colours on the sky.

Pure blue is often not so interesting to see, I like clouds - they give the photos the little extra.

But I was Evathrilled even tho 😂 so when we went up the mountain towards the blue-tiful sky I melted, especially when my fluffbutt stopped, sigh ♥♥♥

The red and the blue dudes are on vacation, I hope they will return soon.

But I am happy that they have a substitute 😁😁😁
