"Frost and sun, a wonderful day ..." - as written by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. Unfortunately, this weather in the Moscow area in the winter if come, it lasts only few days.

"Мороз и солнце, день чудесный..." - как писал Александр Сергеевич Пушкин. К сожалению, такая погода в Московской области если приходит зимой, то держится всего несколько дней.

Alles still! Vergeblich lauschet
Man der Krähe heisrem Schrei.
Keiner Fichte Wipfel rauschet,
Und kein Bächlein summt vorbei.
Hier an der Wied beochachte ich immer wieder ein pärchen Eisvögel. Außerdem gibt es einen reichen Bestand an Kormoranen, Grau und Silber-Reihern. Wenn ich mal keine Lust hab mein Tele zu schleppen streife ich unheimlich gern einfach so an diesem schönen Ort durch die Gegend, und schaue mir die hübsche Landschaft an. Früh am Morgen sieht man hier (zum Glück) kaum einen Mensch.
In einigen Bereichen zwischen Datzeroth und Altwied hat der kleine Fluss eine sehr natürliche Umgebung behalten und ist so beliebte Heimat vieler Tiere neben den schon genannten geblieben.
Haareis auf dem Waldboden
Haareis entsteht unter bestimmten meteorologischen Bedingungen auf liegendem Totholz im Wald. Nur bei Frost und ohne Schneelage bilden sich die hauchdünnen Eisfäden. Man bezeichnet die Erscheinung auch als "Eiswolle".

Freezing Fog in Dockey Wood, Ashridge Forest, Hertfordshire, England. This wood is a place of contrasts - in the summer it is filled with bluebells, in the winter it is damp, cold and bleak.
