ENG: The temperatures are currently very good here in Berlin and yet it rains from time to time. Our nature is in dire need of it. Like last weekend at the Charité Campus Virchow Hospital. So this close-up of the raindrops on my windshield was made.

GER: Die Temperaturen sind aktuell sehr gut hier in Berlin und trotzdem regnet es ab und zu. Unsere Natur hat das ja auch bitter nötig. So wie am letzten Wochenende mal wieder am Charité Campus Virchow Krankenhaus. So kam auch diese Nahaufnahme die Regentropfen auf meiner Windschutzscheibe zustande.
kalter Morgen
Früh raus in die Kälte und vor dem ersten Kaffee kalte Finger geholt...jetzt schmeckt das Frühstück umso besser. Schönen Sonntag euch! :-)
Bemerkung: Die Aufnahme entstand mit einer Voigtländer Bessa-R und Leica Summitar f=5cm 1:2 auf Agfa APX 100 Professional.

Rare german export version.
Due to the low quality and terrible supply of spare parts it was quickly despised in germany.
Soon it was nicknamed "Britisch Elend" (elend means misery in german).

Last year (2018) I could capture the Highline179 and the castle ruin Ehrenberg on our way back home from South Tyrol, Italy - through the windshield of the rolling car (there was stop-and-go-traffic as so often since this swing / suspension bridge was built)
This year (on October 10, 2019) I finally crossed this bridge - very cool, wobbly and a little bit scary ...
I don't mind height when I have solid ground under my feet ... but being able to see through the (wobbling) 'footpath' - oh noooo !! So I am a bit proud of myself !!! : ))

Hin und wieder Zurück
... wer hat denn hier Höhenangst??
Letztes Jahr (2018) konnte ich diesen herbstlichen Blick auf die Highline179 und die Ruine Ehrenberg (Österreich) auf dem Rückweg von Südtirol einfangen - durch die Windschutzscheibe des rollenden Autos (es gab - wie so oft seit dem Bau dieser Hängebrücke - stockenden Verkehr)
Dieses Jahr (genauer am 10. Oktober 2019) habe ich diese Hängebrücke nun schließlich überquert (hin und zurück): sehr cool, ziemlich wackelig und auch etwas beängstigend !!
Mir macht Höhe grundsätzlich nichts aus, wenn ich auf solidem Grund stehe - aber wenn man durch den (zudem schwankenden) "Boden" durchschauen kann - oh nein !!!
Bin daher ein bisschen stolz auf mich ! : ))

Horchs beeindruckender 853 Spezialroadster wurde, wie andere limitierte Modelle deutscher Luxushersteller in den 1930er Jahren, in einer anderen, im Laufe der Zeit weiterentwickelten Serie hergestellt. Die zweite Serie umfasste nur fünf Beispiele, einen Prototyp und vier nachfolgende Serienversionen. Sie waren auf einem verkürzten Chassis aufgebaut und zeichneten sich durch eine extrem lange Motorhaube aus, die sich nach Art von Packards im Dietrich-Stil praktisch bis zum Rahmen einer V-Windschutzscheibe erstreckte, eine einblättrige vordere Stoßstange und Formteile, die von der Fahrzeugvorderseite bis zum hinteren Teil der Karosserie verlaufen.

Autos sind an sich langweilig. Doch die Spiegelung macht ein interessantes Motiv daraus (Cars are boring. But the reflection makes it an interesting motive)

Explanation: The snow hill was the front screen of my car and the light points were created by some fairy lights in the tree behind.
Erklärung: Der Schneehügel ist die Windschutzscheibe meines Autos und die Lichtpunkte eine Lichterkette in dem Baum dahinter.

Fähren sind in Norwegen ein Teil des Straßensystems. So werden beispielsweise die Fährgebühren ähnlich abgerechnet, wie die Maut, die auf bestimmten Autobahnabschnitten, auf manchen (wenigen) Brücken oder in manchen (wenigen) Tunneln, sowie die Citymaut, die in manchen (wenigen), größeren Städten. Dies funktioniert über die Erkennung des Nummernschildes und nachfolgender Rechnung (auf Fähren ausnahmsweise auch wahlweise mit Kreditkarte) oder man hat einen Transponder, den sogenannten AutoPass-Chip, an der Windschutzscheibe installiert, über den ein Fahrzeug erkannt wird. Die Zahlung mit Bargeld ist im Allgemeinen in Norwegen unüblich und auch fast nirgendwo mehr möglich.

Ferries are part of the road system in Norway. For example, ferry fees are charged in a similar way to tolls on certain sections of the motorway, on some (few) bridges or in some (few) tunnels, and city tolls in some (few) larger cities. This works by recognizing the license plate and then issuing a bill (on ferries, you can also pay by credit card as an exception) or by having a transponder, the so-called AutoPass chip, installed on the windshield, which is used to recognize a vehicle. Paying with cash is generally uncommon in Norway and is also almost impossible anywhere.

This is my Cosmic rose in its original colour, dressed up for April with a rainy "windshield" texture by dotlizard (thanks a lot for letting me use it!).
Nevertheless it has been a springlike and sunshiny week here in Berlin so far and I hope you are enjoying the same, wherever you are...and it's only one more day until the weekend...

Die Wagen führten sich dank ihrer robusten und widerstandsfähigen Bauart gut auf dem Droschkenmarkt ein.
Die ausgestellte Motortaxameterdroschke war für einen Taxibetrieb in Berlin im Einsatz.
Der Chauffeur saß im Freien, nur durch Windschutzscheibe und einem Dach über dem Kopf vor der Witterung geschützt.

The issued Motor taxameter droschke/taxi was for a taxi company in Berlin in use.

...eine Waldameise auf meinem Autodach. Zuvor war sie aus dem Wald auf meiner Windschutzscheibe mitgefahren.
Man verzeihe mir die technischen Unzulänglichkeiten. Inkl. RAW-Korrektur komme ich rechnerisch auf ca. ISO 3000. Die Rauschreduzierung habe ich zwar doppelt angewendet aber wollte auch nicht zu viele Details verlieren.

Please excuse the technical shortcomings. Incl. RAW correction I was mathematically at about ISO 3000. I indeed hab applied the noise reduction twice but I did not want to lose too many details.
