Of Hulls Maritime Museum,,This Photo was taken from inside The 'Caffe Nero' this building dates from 1901 and it was once the old Penny Bank.
The magic of a high-end camera sensor: ISO 32,000, handheld (above my head no less), no stabilization in a vibrating airplane... and it still manages to produce a usable photo. Bearing down on the Croatian towns of Petrinja (left) and Sisak (right), back in Yugoslav times one of the country's main industrial powerhouses. Indeed, even today, quite a bit of Croatia's automotive fuel is produced by the Sisak Oil Refinery, visible above the right hand PFD...

The view from Blenz Coffee shop in Horseshoe Bay where we sat for an hour, just watching the ferries arriving and departing and the stream of humanity ebbing and flowing past us as we enjoyed our latte and a banana. It was a treat.
my favourite Bryan Ferry song - "Avalon"
With the Indian govt allowing domestic flights to resume, the night sky before me are again dotted with flickering descending lights. Given that Mumbai used to clock 1000+ take offs and landing in 24 hours, I was pretty used to aircraft sightings at the distant horizon... Now barely an aircraft in an hour. But but but, we are slowly getting back to business... the knots loosening. Its a gamble, and I hope it pays off !

Chaque temps je volais dans et dehors de Seattle, Mt Rainier est toujours present; imminente et forte. Perfecte
Each time I fly in and out of Seattle, Mt Rainier is always present, imminent and strong. Perfect.
What are you able to build with your blocks?
Castles and palaces, temples and docks.
Rain may keep raining, and others go roam,
But I can be happy and building at home.
Great is the palace with pillar and wall,
A sort of a tower on top of it all,
And steps coming down in an orderly way
To where my toy vessels lie safe in the bay.

One of those hot, humid & sultry evenings where the 2nd 'Heineken' was an absolute Must !! (If only to keep the 1st one company) 😌

1939, a nameless man in a nameless city somewhere in Europe carries out his quiet, ordinary life. Once World War II is about to break, his hometown is no longer a safe place. Strange woodland landscapes slowly show up in his mind, till a point where dreams and reality merge into a reborn existence…

Once the hummingbird feeder was tapped out, the hummers fought over the dregs. It's time for them to head south, so no more refills. (Full discloser: I could not get more than two birds in one shot even though there were five hovering around the feeder. This is two photos combined.)
I took this photo at the Wrocław airport shortly after the opening of the new terminal, hence the area around it still showed some signs of construction work.
The view outside the windows seemed to match the tense conversation between the couple.
After several overcast days and snowing in the last three days sun showed up today. Next snow front is already approaching.

Train trip from Halden to Fredrikstad.
The train is moving so the picture of the view is a bit blurred.

φύσις
It simply can't decide what to do
in waves and fronts that pass through
on the surface it's bitterly cold, it's true
yet within hovers a small flicker of renew
this is Springtime whether it weathers or not
the sky never touches the ground nearby in case we forgot
for life didn't begin with our birth nor does it ever finish untying the knot
from the garden to the Heavens a weavers own beauty spot
that sky rings a familiar tune out of season and into the climate of reason?
and still the beacon reveals the arrayment of nature's exhibition season
from these phenomena overt beings misread the signs of their own high treason
against the wilderness and macroscopic matter of the concluding football season
ha! that deflected attention from the back pages to the Champions League at hand
that's neither here nor Moscow, but wholly entrenched throughout all the land
an entreaty on Earth we've arrogantly failed to sign awaiting it's "value" to expand
so a March regelation stirs the human mind, briefly, in an attempt to understand
if you could be anyway right now, I wonder where it would be?
would your choice be reflection, recollection, or a wish to be free
are the eyes of others firmly seeing through your dreams from the tv?
or has a moment away from hysterical human 'interests' afforded a safer guarantee?
it's still your call, but, inexhaustibly no longer is the Earth reserved
time a plenty must so surely reveal a war-torn world closely observed
and learn we must from the elements bestowing upon us gifts so undeserved
Natura - the course of things - it's characteristics most definitely must be preserved.

Kushiro is a city on the east coast of Hokkaido, Japan's northern most island.
Seen from our hotel window is the Kushiro Fisherman's Wharf MOO (Marine-Our-Oasis) building...a commercial complex located adjacent to the Nusamai Bridge at the Kushiro River’s mouth. Being February, the river was solidly frozen with these curious patterns on its surface.
This complex houses souvenir stores selling marine products, a post office, a tourist information centre and a food court 'Minato no Yatai' with food stall-style restaurants. Also popular is the Japanese-style BBQ 'MOO Ganpeki Robata' (sadly for us, only open during the summer).
The glass structure closest to the camera is a greenhouse called 'EGG' (Ever-Green-Garden). During winter, this area is heated.
The building was designed by Kushiro-born architect Kikou Mozuna in 1989. The exterior features Kushiro’s natural motifs, such as red-crowned cranes, the mountains of Akan National Park and ship masts on the Kushiro River side. The road side facing the bus lanes features designs based on Kushiro’s industry, such as coal mine belt conveyors and oil tanks.
