Sometimes it makes us feel quite blue
a pensum we're unable to see through
in oustretched arms just able to touch
past times: season upon season as such;
layers, cushions, comforts and pains
the memory's a penitent for what remains
of the day, in view, fading, but as yet living
the afterglow becomes a proverb forgiving
it's the pulse that fingers forgot -
from our hands touching that rident spot
still our situations are utterly retrievable
reach out, and the discovery is conceivable;
be the first and you'll never be the last
look ahead from what isn't left entirely to the past
as daylight fades, thoughts rise, stoking our inner selves
here we are, a neighbourhood of nature where we're truly ourselves.

Often times the rain comes after the scary black clouds move on. Happily, no harm came to us from these clouds.

Samut Prakan, from the air.
Been a while, hope everyone has been well, hope to catch up with some of your beautiful and inspiring works slowly over the coming weeks.
Random quote:
“The end is never the end. It's always the the beginning of something.”
3 pm. The weather's been like this off and on today. Gray, rainy and Blah. But it could be worse. We are just getting bands of rain off what is now Hurricane Hermine. Nothing really serious here. The brunt of the storm is north and west of us.

The Egg is a chair designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1959 for the Radisson SAS hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is manufactured by Republic of Fritz Hansen.
The Egg was designed in a typical Jacobsen style, using state-of-the-art material.
It is believed to be inspired by Eero Saarinen's "Womb chair", from which it borrows some traits.
Related to the Egg is the Swan chair and, to some degree, many of Jacobsen's plywood chairs such as "7", the Ant, the Cigar, the Grand Prix-chair, the Pot, the Drop and the Giraffe..
The Egg (like the Swan) was also designed as a couch. While the Swan couch is still in production, only a handful of Egg couches have ever been made. A few were made for the Radisson Hotel, and a few years back[when?], some were made as a "special edition" couch. The price was quite high—about 400,000 DKK, the equivalent of roughly US$75,000.
The reason for the limited production of the Egg couch, besides the wish for exclusivity, is the difficulty involved in making it, plus a design flaw: the couch is too big to be covered by two entire cow-hides, which is only just possible with the Egg-chair. This leaves a very visible stitching down the middle of the couch. This problem can, however, be solved by making the upholstery in fabric rather than leather.

Last Photo for a while... away traveling (Out My Window)
Hello my friends! ☺
I'll be away traveling for a while, so I wanted to leave a little something as a visual Thank You to all you guys for your wonderful support lately :-)
(I should still have internet connection, but not sure how good it will be, but I'll return full strength in October)
:about the photo:
This is a place I visited in southern Sweden this year, and the scene occurred a bit before sunset... you can even see the moon sitting in the big blue sky, among that mix of dark & white clouds. (and yeah, those are tractor paths through the fields!)
The sun was somewhere behind me, casting some nice shadow work... until those darker clouds moved around and began to hamper the light (I have some photos of that to upload later too!)
I originally opened the window wide, leaned out and shot a landscape photo... but then I noticed how pretty the window & shadow reflection upon the glass looked (to me anyhow), so I pulled back and included them in my shot : )
It was a bit magical, what I felt & saw that evening... *out my window*
So this is what I leave you with :-)
As always... I do hope you find something interesting or enjoyable here : )
I appreciate your wonderful Comments & Faves so much dear friends! (( I'll have something to read while away! ))
Wishing you all the best & hope to see you again soon : )
