Beamish open air Museum

more or less the same kitchen i was raised in at

my grandmothers home

one difference was the the water boiler

in the corner with the round wooden lid

ours was built into the fire place

and the floor was solid concrete ..

the fire place and oven would be cleaned and black leaded

every day by my grandmother

Oceanic Hotel - Star Island - Isles of Shoals - New Hampshire

Found this little corner in the Oceanic Hotel on Sunday. The light was streaming in at an angle that reminded me of Vermeer's paintings. Timeless, indeed!

Before the house was awake. Looking up the stairs out that fabulous north facing window it seems the light has exploded on the stair space. Beautiful indeed.

A view of the row of Pine trees, as seen from the reclining chair of my Podiatrist's office. Takes my mind off of my feet for a little while. A pleasant distraction.

My view at sunset from this same studio window...the light is different as the sun goes down and fills the room with golden light. Splatters from rain show on the glass enclosure. No need to wipe it down because it will rain again soon.
