is sited on a old coal mine (Pit)
this memorial set aside on a hill is in memory of the coal miners who worked at Herrington Colliery......
as my grandfather who worked in a pit from the age of 14yrs old till the day he retired at 65 yrs old ..this is a constant reminder of a very fine man he was ...

Snowpocalypse 2011! This is a view outside our living room window. I measured 5" on our doorsteps. Heck, I thought I lived in Atlanta, not Virginia!

The art gallery is on the 3rd floor of Three on Bund.
The exhibition space is surrounded by the large windows as in the pics.
You could find a very good view on the whole Bund area through these windows.
There is a bar&resturant called New Height on the 7th floor of this building which is thought to be the best site to enjoy the Bund View.
If you are a fresh vistor to Shanghai and not willing to stand in the center of crowds , it is a recommended good choice to enjoy the whole view.
I read some intro said that the red wine and dessert of New Height is outstanding to try.
