Inspecting the top end of a large sheet of stratus cloud as we buzz around without a care on a swell autumn afternoon. A common sight in continental Croatia anytime the winter approaches, these low-level cloud banks form most often around noon, when the wind picks up sufficiently to break up the area's thick morning fog (during which visibilities of below 200 meters are commonplace). Usually only a couple of hundred feet thick, they nevertheless are a pain for VFR operations - but are, thankfully, localized and easily avoided along the edges if you encounter one in flight.
