Sometimes we are so eager to travel the world and see new places on the map that we forget that the best scenery can be found in our very own backyard.

Explored on March 25, 2009. Flickr Explore has seen my sunset 3 times in a week ^^

View On Black

Maybe I have seen the sunset 44 times in a week. ^^This is the real view from my window, if you have seen the pink sunset.

And Thursday should always be orange color if I can :)

"Oh, little prince! Bit by bit I came to understand the secrets of your sad little life . . . For a long time you had found your only entertainment in the quiet pleasure of looking at the sunset. I learned that new detail on the morning of the fourth day, when you said to me:

"I am very fond of sunsets. Come, let us go look at a sunset now."

"But we must wait," I said.

"Wait? For what?"

"For the sunset. We must wait until it is time."

At first you seemed to be very much surprised. And then you laughed to yourself. You said to me:

"I am always thinking that I am at home!"

Just so. Everybody knows that when it is noon in the United States the sun is setting over France.

If you could fly to France in one minute, you could go straight into the sunset, right from noon. Unfortunately, France is too far away for that. But on your tiny planet, my little prince, all you need do is move your chair a few steps. You can see the day end and the twilight falling whenever you like . . .

"One day," you said to me, "I saw the sunset forty-four times!"

Today, I walked through an empty shell of a building that I get to turn into our new retail space. I absolutely love this red window wall, but I know I will be have to select a neutral paint color. Red is not a "corporate color". DARN!

While roosters sleep, airliners fly. Greeting another calm and peaceful dawn above Croatia's Kvarner Bay as we climb leisurely towards the island of Pag out in the distance...

Blue sky and mix type of clouds with a windy monsoon climate.

Riding through a sea of clouds as we greet another day above the mountains of Central Croatia...

This "impressionist' painting is what appeared when I snapped a shot of the view out my kitchen window, through the screen, when the morning light was just beginning to touch the branch of a tree with red berries and leaves that were turning from green to red.

I decided that I liked the result, just as it was, without any manipulation.

As we were waiting to see Johnny's doctor.at Bathurst Base Hospital. I took this shot from the waiting room window. You can see a little bit of Bathurst from up here.

We went on an overnight trip down to Atlanta. Attending the Industrial Nation presents Cold Waves 2025 at The Masquerade (Hell ). Bands on the line-up were: Lead Into Gold, Clock DVA and Front Line Assembly. We stayed at Aloft Downtown Atlanta.

Our dog, Rosey accompanied us on our ATL adventure. On the way down to ATL, we stopped at the Buc-ee's Calhoun location in Adairsville, GA. ( we also stopped again on our way back home ) Once we made it into the city, we checked into our hotel room before the show.

Ended up Ubering over to the venue. Didn't have to wait in line ( much at all ). I got a High Noon seltzer and found a spot in front of the mixing board. They were playing Autechre's Tri Repetae ++ over the PA before the show.

The 1st band to take the stage was Lead Into Gold ( Paul Barker ). Then the 2nd band was Clock DVA. After a short time, Paul Barker came out to the mercy booth and was signing vinyl and posing for selfies. I purchased his latest album, "Knife The Ally" on vinyl and he signed it and my vinyl copy of "Age of Reason" ( his 1st album ) as we chatted. Then we got someone in line to take a couple photos. Then I went back to my spot and watched the rest of Clock DVA's set. I got a 2nd High Noon seltzer and found a closer spot closer to the stage. The last band to perform for the evening was Front Line Assembly. They played a set list of their Wax Trax! era albums. ( even played one of the Cyberaktif track, "Nothing Stays" as their Encore ) After the show, I got an Uber back to the hotel room. We stayed up for a bit and watched The Big Bang Theory on Nick-at-Nite. Got up after 9am, gathered our stuff, and checked out. Got on the road taking a more casual drive. Making a couple pit stops along the way.
