Nestled within the historic walls of Castel Mareccio in Bolzano, Italy, this charming window offers a glimpse into the past. Adorned with intricate frescoes, the serene atmosphere highlights the artistry and history of this magnificent castle.
The castle is a residence rather than a defence construction. The oldest part of the castle dates back to the 13th century. The present form is due to the members of the Feiler family, who transformed it into a Renaissance castle between 1560 and 1570.
Taken 5 Jan 2016: Just missed her this morning with a partial rainbow.... The Golden Gate Bridge is visible in the distant background, Albany Hill and Golden Gate Fields in foreground.

PLEASE PRAY FOR MH-370 + 239 FELLO BEINGS.. A very strange story indeed...perhaps more is known than is being said!
hopefully there will soon be an answer.
(High view, from the house.) Flowers are easy to photograph, while catching pretty light to show the garden takes more....luck and observation. These are the small back area in my Pacific Northwest, USA, garden.
View from a train.......The Fens, Cambridgeshire
There's not a hill in all the view,
Save that a forked cloud or two
Upon the verge of distance lies
And into mountains cheats the eyes.
And as to trees the willows wear
Lopped heads as high as bushes are;
Some taller things the distance shrouds
That may be trees or stacks or clouds
Or may be nothing; still they wear
A semblance where there's nought to spare.
From The Fens ~ John Clare (1793-1864)
I typically go into the office only about 3-4 days a month, and work from home the rest of the time. (Rough life, I know. But hey, it's a 100 mile RT in Los Angeles traffic. Who'd want to do that every day? Not me. I live near the beach. It's WAY nicer here!) Because of my infrequent attendance at the office, I don't actually have a regular place to pitch my tent, but rather have to find a desk where someone is out for the day. This past week Debbie was out so I sat at her desk. Never been there before, but was enthralled with the window view of rusty steel tubing structure covered by shiny galvanized corrugated sheets. And to top it all off, the outside lighting was killer and the window was very clean. I got a nice batch of shots!

This vibrant nature scene of the beautiful bright red blossoms of the tropical Flame Tree beyond draped curtains would brighten up any home or office. Imagine this on your wall as a Canvas, Metal or Acrylic Print and how it could brighten up your room.
Open up your house that has no views or windows by placing a window view on your wall.
Adding a window framed image to your wall can create a sense of depth, color, light and openness to a room, especially a room where there are not many, or no windows. This will look just like a window with a view on your wall.
Enjoy this burst of nature and color whilst relaxing in your living room or kitchen. Or, what a great view for your office.
The scene behind or beyond the window is also available without the window frame and curtains, and is titled Vibrant Flame Tree by Kaye Menner and can be found either by searching the title or in my Floral Gallery.

Illumination for this shot...I aimed a hanging lamp at the orchid....a new flower is in the process of opening.
All my photos yesterday were taken indoors...it was SUCH a day of extreme winds and cold and snow....the best place was IN!
Our roads were ploughed overnight, and I might go out this afternoon....maybe....
The newspaper arrived...and we'll have mail later...
