Another fine view outside as we approach the east coast of Italy, enjoying the free airways at 24,000 ft as far above jets zip to and fro at speed...
Captured a few days ago for Window Wednesday.
Up early before dawn woking at the computer next thing I now the room is aglow with golden light.
Grabbed the iPhone rushed to the window and fired off a few shots.
Very lightly edited on the iPad in Snapseed.
Happy to remove if this beyond the guidelines for WW. They do say thru windows is ok, but as there is no frame showing, or windows on the other side in view, maybe this doesn't qualify.
HWW to window stalkers and a great rest of the week to all.
A nice sunrise sillouette's the Chicago Skyline as we came in for a landing at O'Hare Airport early in the morning.
I have never gotten a Winter Solstice Sunrise photo before because it's almost always CLOUDY! Not today, but it's COLD.
I hereby document sunrise at 7:14 a.m. on The Shortest Day!
Dusk view from my window with ocean view in the horizon on the left side of the volcanic moutain

This is the view towards the garden, which is behind the car port. The long gardens in line with the window (in JJ's attic room) belong to the houses next to ours. You can see where we had to walk to get to the garden and a lead was needed, as we did see (and bark at) a beautiful Golden retriever a couple of times through the back door!
Tonight, the winds were howling, and the temperature was a negative 8 degrees Fahrenheit with a windchill of negative 29 degrees Fahrenheit. I was unwilling to go outside at 7:12 PM CST to take my shot, so this is all I could manage through my patio door, which was actually frozen shut!

Cook County, Illinois, USA
Taken at 7:12 PM CST.
12% Illumination
This was my first shot the moon in 2024.
(High view, from the house.) Flowers are easy to photograph, while catching pretty light to show the garden takes more....luck and observation. These are the small back area in my Pacific Northwest, USA, garden.
There are fine views of the Alps at sundown... and then there's this one. Zipping past the several Tauern subranges as we sneak under a nasty jetstream blanketing most of Austria...
I remember finding out about you
Every day, my mind is all around you
Looking out from my lonely room, day after day--Badfinger
watching sunset through my living room window.
Greeting another fine anticyclonic morning as we soak up the majesty of Montenegro's fogged-in Durmitor Mountain Range...
