I actually woke up pretty early this morning. Made it to the farmers market and sat there for a while taking in the beautiful day today.

Went to the spa and had a pedicure, a much needed pedicure, that I had received as a birthday gift months ago from my boys :) Thanks again! My toes haven't looked so good in a long time.

Now I plan to work on some stuff I am designing and just rest this evening.

Eggs are among my favorite subjects. They have simple, elegant shapes, and when struck by soft light their structure is revealed in fine detail. These have very beautiful color as well. Of course, I am glad to show one of my reserve photos as I still have a miserable cold. I wish you all a great day. I am going back to bed...

Visited a friends old carriage house and found this chandelier gleaming against this old bench.

New sleeping place for Nelly. I put the basket in the window facing the sun and she enjoys the warmth from this wet and cold winter.

My experiments for low key light still continue…. This is one of the shots that I am pleased with.

BTW, this is Monu. I found him meowing one day under my car when I was leaving from work. And poor little me got adopted by this cute guy! Yes, you read it right. He moves around like he’s the Lord of the house & requires constant attention :)

He’s a bundle of joy to have around. He reminds me a lot about Peter Pan – the boy who would never grow up – always playful. :) And he’s really great at posing for the camera! He loves cheese!

That’s the look he gives me when he's hungry!!!! :D

Waiting out a brief downpour inside the Rackham building.

#selfportrait awake to the life of illusions. walls shrinking around. sky a tempting hue. i grow taller. dominate my domain. scour over streets below. limited options present themselves. be crushed. suffocate under blank walls. or take flight. and discover vibrancy in an endless sky. accepting the terms. a time has come for escape.

death can possess me freely.

In the first light of the day, a Christmas star meets the sun — a quiet reminder that light always arrives gently.

window light, natural light.

🇬🇧 A quiet moment in the city, captured under the soft glow of a storefront.

Shot with the Nikon Z and the superb Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.2 S, wide open to catch that shallow depth of field and creamy bokeh.

Her gaze, the ambient light, and the soft veil together tell an intimate story—one of calm, mystery, and silent wonder.

Winter window light is really wonderful, and with all the wind blowing outside it sure beats risking a case of frostbite. :-)

Coda is staring me down as he waits patiently for the treats behind me...

Used only windowlight @ 11o'clock. Been wondering if I really need strobes or lights anymore, well it makes for lighter packing anyways :)

I hope everybody out there has a great Easter with their friends and family!!!

Peace :)
